arrrrgggh - all the reasons I left WFC and moved clinics just came flooding back to me after I was on hold with them for 18 minutes - I kid you not.
I know waiting on the phone is a minor thing - but the overall 'service' (which included many more important things than a phone call) was my major bugbear.

Does anyone have a recent full price list or them? Ive rang and their sending me one but it's going to take a week as I'm in Qld and I'm impatient and excited about being able to try and trying to choose a clinic, seems westmead is easier to get into than RPAH and a little easier with the travel I will be doing but a little more expensive, so it comes down to affordability..
Also does anyone know some of the specialist fees for the first appt for westmead? How many specialist spots did you have to have and are the fees the same for each one? Is there a rebate? I know they told me if I choose to only pay the gap amount there's no rebate on the cycle and any testing I have done at home in Qld.
Any help would be appreciated..

I was after general costs, after 3 phone calls I'm fairly certain I have what I need, or the best answers I can get until treatment starts. Fingers crossed I can get approved for a small loan to try and get a specialists appt soon after. Theyve said they will be closed over Xmas and reopen for egg retrievals in mid January so I secretly have my fingers crossed it all goes to plan perfectly and I can look at having a cycle done for then. Just waiting to hear from the bank, I'd love to save up the cash but don't want to wait.
It's going to cost us a bit extra to get hubby's sperm transfered over from another clinic, I think around $800 for admin and freezing costs in total and a transfer fee, hopefully wont be too much.

the costs sure add up quickly

Yep they do, but it's a lot cheaper for us to go to Sydney and do it than to get it done in our home town. I was quoted $1100 here before rebate.
Westmead has quoted me the $1450 and told me there's a rebate on that then some extras for the FS appt with a rebate, some meds and postage so i don't have to fly down and pick them up, and the associated costs with hubby's sperm which isn't too bad really, especially when compared with here..
I hope your cycle goes well for you, got any ideas when yet or still organising?

Im not quite sure af due around middle of november but may have to wait if it clashes with the clinic closure at xmas
Otherwise may be early 2012
Im happy with that and I also read somewhere (not sure now where it was) that better eggs from cycling in summer months not sure why either?? but it was true for us from last down reg
And I suppose the clinic determines it also!

Agh..just read my earlier post, QFG here quoted me $11000 not $1100 I missed a 0.
Fingers crossed for you it doesn't clash.
I hate the idea of having to wait, am really excited to try. As far as I know things are all good on my end, 20, fit and earthy an work like clockwork and hubby has had a vasectomy so there presents the need for IVF and ICSI.

The waiting game is hard but keep busy and try to live as usual because ivf can be really consuming
we are also using ivf/icsi due to vasectomy
Im a oldie 40

My hubby's 37 so 40 doesn't seem that old to me. 16 years between us (i was a December baby)
At the moment all the planning and organising is very consuming, gives me something to focus on outside of work tho which is nice. I'm a little bit OCD and ADHD so I will focus on one thing until its planned to the last detail and underway then start the next occasionally editing the original plans as well. I like to be informed about the future.
