    Hi Mel,
don't be too disheartened by blood results. I think if every girl ttc irrespective of age had them, the results would be surprising and many would be in your shoes. Ignorance can be a good thing.

My day 3 FSH was 11 and the day I found that out was the day I had an internal scan to confirm my pregnancy. My fertility specialist said it can vary so much from month to month but she thought my ovarian reserve may have been low or poor egg quality. She didn't seem concerned though as I was pregnant and she said it could vary so much each cycle. I had no IVF but had a HSG that cycle and fell pregnant. It took me one m/c and 14 months of TTC though.

So hang in there, and don't let it get you down... easier said than done but I hope you get your BFP soon.

    Hi Ladies,
Thanks again for your support and helpful replies.
Just had another day 3 blood test and my FSH was 8.
It was 10 last month but im guessing it can fluctuate.
My GP said i am not going through menopause and it was all normal.
Its made me a little happier.
Apart from this i have been having regular acupuncture taking Chaste tree herbs ,Royal Jelly and im starting on some Wheatgrass now.
Should have more test results again soon and i will keep you all updated.
    stay happy

    Hi Mel,

Your FSH levels sound good, was your oestrogen in range at the same time too?

I have been reading about wheatgrass too and going to try it. What does it taste like? where do you get yours from ? Sounds like it does good things!

    Hi Pink Butterfly,
I just had a basic blood test from my GP on day 3 of my period for FSH and it was 8.
Im not sure about the oestrogen levels though but i think the chaste tree and other herbs may be helping.
I order the wheatgrass tablets 500mg from serentity organics herbalserenity.com.au and i think they would do the same job.
They have the powder as well but i have tried a shot of wheatgrass and it does taste like lawn clippings lol!!!
Think i will stick to the pills.
Our FS is away so we don't see him again until late July.
I have my partner started on Menevit and hopefully if all goes well we will finally be ready to do a cycle in Aug or Sep.
How are things going for you??

    Hi Mel,

    Hope ur well

Thanks so much for the info on the wheatgrass tablets. I managed to find some from my vitaman shop. So glad you mentioned these as I was dreading taking another revolting tasting substance on top of herbs etc.!!! so I am very excited about this!

I am fine, just trying naturally this month and hoping to start another cycle in a few weeks. My FS only gives the go ahead if CD2 FSH/Oestrogen and Progesterone are in the right ranges. So fingers crossed.

Not long til you can see your FS now.

    Take care

    Default High FSH

Chinese Herbal Medicine has some great formulas for maximising your available hormones and ripening your eggs. As your ovary egg store reduces more FSH is required to ripen the eggs. I frequently see women with high FSH (some IVF doctors will not attempt an assisted cycle if you have figures in double digits) and am able to reduce them in 1-2 cycles.
