    2. Your best tip to settle bubs when all else has failed? At 5 weeks - dark room, silence, on the shoulder, gentle rock. 6 months or more? Panadol! LOL

1.What wraps/blankets do you find are the best to wrap bubs in to sleep?

I used muslin wraps as they were nice and light and flanneltte wraps as it got colder.

    2. Your best tip to settle bubs when all else has failed?

Just cuddle bubba, if he is clean, fed and doesnt seem to be in pain with wind etc. Just rocking and singing, or going for a walk in the sling.

3.What is your standard routine when bubs wakes up? (eg:feed then burp then change nappy etc...)

Wake, change if needed, feed, (switch with whatever is needed), play, sleep.

Oh in the first 2 or 3 weeks - the "its just wind" thing is a load of rot!

    5. For those bottle feeding do you prep them as needed or pre-prep?

    Made them all fresh.

    5. How long does your bubs usually sleep for between feeds?

In the early days probably 2 hours during the day and then from 6 wks 10-6 worked down half an hour earlier each week until we got to 12 weeks and 7-6.

    6. What product/ item you just can't live without?

My MCNs that I wish I had earlier, a sling/carrier.

    7. What washing powder/liquid do you use for baby clothes?

Planet Ark - eco choice sensitive.

    8. First mother's group experience?

Never went, have plenty of friends with kids/babies.

    9. Your favourite online store for baby stuff?

    NurtureNappies!

    10. What do you find is the hardest part about being a mum?

Thx for that, I bet you and I have a million more questions up our sleeves and everyone's different but it makes everything feel a bit more normal when you hear from other mums and know that you are not alone, because it certainly can feel that way at times..Best of luck with bubs and congrats!!!

1.What wraps/blankets do you find are the best to wrap bubs in to sleep?
Muslin wraps when it was still warmer, but now we use these stretchy cotton ones from Big w, come in a pack of two. They're fantastic for a wriggly baby like mine!

    2. Your best tip to settle bubs when all else has failed?
Hmm I'm still learning here too but I think either a warm warm bath, or a comfort feed.

3.What is your standard routine when bubs wakes up? (eg:feed then burp then change nappy etc...)
Feed either on the couch or in our bed, nappy change, snuggle!

4.What age did your bub first smile at you?
    3-4 weeks

    5. For those bottle feeding do you prep them as needed or pre-prep?
    Breastfeeding & EBM

I'm lucky if she sleeps for half an hour a few times a day! At night anywhere between 3 and 6 hours.

    6. What product/ item you just can't live without?
Bouncer and capsule/carseat/pram insert, dvd player for the more difficult days!

    7. What washing powder/liquid do you use for baby clothes?

Not feeling like a slacker/failure for not getting the housework etc done... feeling like I have to justify what I did today. Not being in control! Also not having my own money as I'm not working...

    Congratulations on your baby!

    Hi ,

    Congrats on becoming a mamma!

1.What wraps/blankets do you find are the best to wrap bubs in to sleep?
In the beginning i LOVED the Baby Bunting muslin wraps. Then at 3mths we went cold turkey into a gro bag (because he just kept getting out of the wraps). He LOVED the gro bag and we haven't looked back

    2. Your best tip to settle bubs when all else has failed?
I used to go for LOOOOONG drives. He loved the car, so would always fall asleep within minutes. I did this if he was really bad in the day and just getting himself really worked up and overtired. At night, i would get help from my Hubby. The new face coming in to get bubs to sleep always seemed to work!

3.What is your standard routine when bubs wakes up? (eg:feed then burp then change nappy etc...)
    Feed, Change nappy, play, sleep.

4.What age did your bub first smile at you?
I have written in his baby book that he did this at 6 days old, but that sounds far too young. I can't remember now, so i can only assume that that's when it happened

    5. For those bottle feeding do you prep them as needed or pre-prep?
I boil the kettle in the morning and fill his bottles for the day and keep them on the bench (bubs prefers room temp bottles - warm bottles always made him vomit). When it is feeding time i just add the formula. I wash each bottle after the feed and leave to dry. Then at the end of the day, i sterilise all the bottles in my Avent microwave steriliser and start all over again.

    5. How long does your bubs usually sleep for between feeds?
Up until 9wks old he fed every 2hrs day and night!!!!!! It was a killer!

    6. What product/ item you just can't live without?
At that age it was my car!!!! But now it's his mechanical swing. He just loves it. He's asleep in it right now

    7. What washing powder/liquid do you use for baby clothes?
I've always just washed bubs' clothes with mine and hubby's using normal washing powder. He's never had any reaction from it.

    8. First mother's group experience?
TBH i hated it!! I came home feeling like such a failure because my DS was quite unsettled at the time and all the other babies were quiet and asleep.

    9. Your favourite online store for baby stuff?
Haven't purchased anything for bubs on line yet.

    10. What do you find is the hardest part about being a mum?
In the very beginning....i would have said EVERYTHING!!!! Now, i say no longer being in control of my own life. My life now revolves around bubs' needs and wants
