I got an email back about my RSVP and I am back on the list and I will be invited to the next one! Which unfortunately won't be till next year! Annoying but hey nothing I can do! My 6 month wait isn't till November anyways so I guess I have to wait anyway!

And I hope you dont need that amount to adopt..what is this world comming too where you have to be either mega rich, bankrupt or mortgaged to the hilt to have a child, either through adoption (local/intercountry) IVF, Egg Donation or Surrogacy...makes me SO mad!! <3

    Hi Sophie11,

Thank you for the offer to chat and answer questions. I'm curious about what it was that you were looking for in a couple, when you were making the decision for your baby boy. I know it would be different for each birth mother, but it would be interesting to have your perspective. I understand if you consider this question too personal to respond to.

    Regards,

    Bubbles

    Hi Bubbles!
I was given three 'biographies and photos' to look at. To me it was important the couple had been married for a while and were in a strong committed relationship. Security (not wealth) and with the photos I saw the one I chose was the most relaxed natural one. They looked happy and not forced

Most girls who give up babies want them to have what they cannot give them...ie a stable relationship, stable home, basic things. Money doesn't factor into it, its about having a HAPPY childhood

    Default Starting the journey

Hi, I'm not sure how many people are still reading/replying to this thread, but I thought I would finally join a forum for some support. In a nutshell, we have been trying to start a family for 4 years. In that time, we have undergone IVF and fallen pregnant twice, only to lose our babies, one at 24 weeks the other at 19 weeks. We have just been told by a hematologist that due to my blood disorder (which they know exists and few people have it, and they don't know enough about it etc etc etc) I will most likely continue to lose my babies mid term. So we are now going to start the adoption journey.
Anyway, I've read a million forums over the last few years over every matter related to pregnancy/IVF/stillbirths/multiple losses/blood disorders etc etc and thought that this time around I will join one
Hoping to have some support on this next phase

    Hi adorelgc,

I'm so sorry for your loses. This thread has a handful of people contributing, but I guess the adoption process is so slow, that there's more times when people are waiting for things to happen with not much to report in between. But we are here if you need to chat.

    Hi adorelgc and welcome,
There are still a few of us lurking. I am sorry for your losses, it is such a hard journey. We are here at different stages of our adoption journey but because things move slowly I don't update often. I am happy to answer any question though and I wish you all the best
