That made me wonder what bubhub's opinion was and it seems they have four sections: young, 20 something, 30 something and 40+ so to me that implies they consider under 20 as young parents

i think under 25's post in both sections

its one of those 'how long is a piece of string' questions hey? because realistically, if i have a baby at 30, but i *feel* young, then i'm by default, a young mum
but if i have my baby at 23, and i feel old (as i kinda do ) then i wouldn't consider myself a young mum...

but i guess maybe its halfway between what society wants to call a young mum, and when mum feel like calling herself a young mum

Ohh hang on a minute, I haven't been posting in there after all. It was the 20-something section. Phew!

Anyway, in answer to the question, for some reason I always viewed a teen mum as a different category to a young mum I have no idea why. But now that I think about it, maybe under 18? Because you're an adult at 18 I guess...

I said under 25, because that's what Was closest to what I wanted! Lol. that and I went to a young parents playgroup where you had to be 24 and under. I had bs at 16, I was a young mum then, but I don't think of myself as a young mum now, and I'm 23.

i think under 25 for your 1st baby- i had DD at 17 and will have a nother bout 21 and i will still consider myself young to have 2 kids then too.

Coz 25 is like nearly 27 wich is mid-twenties which is nearly 30 and that is OLD!!!
