    Hi Nonny

I took polaramine through my last pregnancy for an incredibly itchy rash I had. I was told that the "Don't take in 3rd trimester" guidelines is because it's dangerous for bub to have the medication in their system at birth. So theoretically if you haven't the polaramine in the 6hrs before bub is born, there'd be no issue with taking it during the 3rd trimester... But I would say 3rd trimester starts at the beginning of the 28th week.

Have you tried the rhinocort nasal spray? Works wonders for my hayfever and I was told it was safe to use during pregnancy.

    HTH

I'm not certain RHinocort is also safe when breastfeeding - I read some stuff that said it wasn't fully tested. I'll ask the chemist though. Plus, my last labour was only 112 minutes - so I can't count on having 6 hours notice that I'm going to have a baby! LOL

The neti pot sound slike a good idea, if I can get past my issues with having things squirted up my nose! LOL Even a saline spray is unbearable for me - but it's purely a psychological thing, so I should just suck it up (pun intended) and give it a try.

As far as I know, 27 weeks (as it is the beginning of the 28th week of gestation) is the beginning of the 3rd trimester
Which means I start my 3rd trimester on MONDAY!!!!!
