    Default period all over the place

    Hi i just have a question i had my son on the 13th of jan everything went normal had a normal delivery ect. Had bleeding for 4 weeks then it stopped. 4 weeks later got a normal period but right beofre i got it i had mild cramping like stabbing pain on my right side and tmi pain that felt like it was in my bum odd i knnow. Went to the dr's for my 6 week check up told her i had very heavey bleeding and about the pains and she said it might have been an infection but would be coming out now with my period. Fast foward to now i was due for my period last monday and still nothing should i be going back tot the dr's could there be something wrong

    Hi Mogsy79,

    Congratulations on your little bundle of joy!

    In regards to what you are experiencing it’s unlikely there is ‘something wrong’. Given you’ve delivered recently and I assume you are probably breastfeeding it’s almost expected that your cycles will be irregular.

    The pain is the thing you want to keep an eye on... Definitely go back to see your doctor if it continues and don’t expect your periods to become regular again until after you’ve stopped breastfeeding.
