    The poor thing, it's so sad to see accidents like this happening. We don't own a large flatscreen tv, only a 19 inch one and I still worry about DS getting to it and it falling on him. We have a bookcase next to the tv too and we're going to store it in the garage or somewhere out of his reach so he doesn't somehow pull it onto himself. It's scary stuff

    we have a huge plasma and i also worry about this DF promised to bolt it down to the entertainment unit i must make him do it this weekend

    we have a 42 inch plasma and its up on the wall away from little people.

    The TV that fell on Mikayla wasn't actually a plasma TV, that was a misprint in the newspaper. It was the old style, heavy back type, actually weighing about 80 kg. She damaged her frontal lobe, had 4 skull fractures, the bones in her nose, cheeks and mouth shattered, damaged C1-5 in her neck and had a blot clot removed from her brain. Mikayla is 12yrs old now, and doing amazing. Although she has recently started to show signs that she may have developed Autism and Aquired Sociapthy
