Default PCOS and Pregnant- please help!!!

    Hi ladies,

I just wanted to ask if there is anyone on here who has PCOS and has conceived without fertility medication??

I was diagnosed about 6 months ago and just about to go on my first round of serophene...

My dr told me to do a preg test if aunt flo hadn't arrived and to my absolute shock...

I have to go get blood tests to confirm all is well and i'm just worried that because of the PCOS it will cause complications... i heard somewhere that there's a higher miscarriage rate???

Anyone whos had a successful pregnancy with PCOS or knows anything about this please let me know!!! Im stressing and I should be excited!!! I've been waiting for this for so long!

    Thanks everyone!!

I don't have PCOS but I can't say I have heard that it gives you a higher chance of miscarriage. I'm sure some one will come in and clarify a bit more for you
    Congratulations on your pregnancy

I have had 2 babies and have PCOS, My sister is pregnant with her 2nd and also has PCOS.

Through out both my pregnancies PCOS had no mention / influence on care treatment etc as far as I am aware it is more a problem GETTING pregnant rather than staying pregnant ie. not Oing irregular AF etc.

    Nat

    CONGRATULATIONS

Congrats! I am so pleased for you. PCOS should not increase your rate of miscarriage, as PCOS only affects developing an ovum, not an embryo.

I had PCO (not full blown PCOS with all the other symptoms, only absence of AF suddenly for 4 months). I conceived DS (now 3) naturally the first month we tried. My sister also has PCO and has a 6 week old bub now (though she did have to use clomid to get him)

Come to think of it, my mum probably had it, and she had 2 babies.

More happy stories to make you feel better

    Congratulations!!

I have PCOS and was told by my fertlity specialist to not bother trying on our own as it would not happen naturally Well... It did

We now have an 8 week old bubba boy! I have read (see Mr google can be bad lol!) that it does increase your risk of miscarriage but dont let that scare you. Most people I know with PCOS have been able to hold onto their bubs just fine!

    Well done on concieving naturally!

Ive got PCOS and conceived but with the help of acupuncture.

I havn't heard of it increasing your chances of miscarriage though.

It took us 19 months to get where we are, and due in 8 weeks time
