hahaha........that sounded like me when they had me in for the amnio. I was having panic attacks and the doctor got so angry with me because i told him to get the needle away from me (in a not so nice way)! Then i went running crying from the room. No body will ever understand what it's like to go through this situation until they have been through it and i wouldnt wish it on my worst enemy! i never had any gut feelings that anything was wrong with bub before i got the high risk result but after it i sure did because they had put so much fear about it into me. It was only until i went in for the amnio that i thought "no this is wrong" and ever since then ive felt again that i am carrying a beautifully healthy child

This is my first as well. It took me weeks to adopt a positive attitude that there was nothing wrong with bub and i still have my doubts at times but as im 32 weeks pregnant now ive had alot of time and support to be able to accept the result i was given. After getting the high NT result i was a wreck. I locked myself in my bedroom and wouldnt talk to anyone for days and then still weeks later i was a mess. It is such a hard thing to go through and i remember telling myself over and over "why me what did i ever do wrong to deserve this?".

Can i ask how has your partner been with everything?

Hes not at all worried about it which drives me mad. Ten days or something to go now.. What is one hour seems like four. Days drag on - like everything goes in slow motion.

Good luck with the rest of your wait. I am sorry your experience has been so bad I found an amnio far less traumatic than a visit to the dentist. The wait for the results was the hard bit as it seems to take forever. Hope your wait goes quickly.
