    I had it done just under 37 weeks with DS3 (I was already fully effaced and 3cm dilated). Had it about 10:30am on the Thurs. He came early evening the next day as healthy as anything.

    i had it this time with ds2 at 40weeks+5days it worked for me i had it on wednesday at 11.30am and was in hospital at 1.30pm due to alot of bleeding went into labour at 1.00am on thursday and he was born at 2.33 am i found the contractions alot more painfull than my other 2 as well

    Yep, all 3 of my labours started with contractions 10 mins apart... Being short labours they progressed very quickly but I don't think it was like being induced (or what I've heard induced labour is like - I've never actually been induced)

    I do think they only help if your body is ready - I was 3cm & waters bulging when the did the S&S so possibly would have gone into labour anyway but I think it did hurry things along a little...

    Went into labour within 24 hrs of a SS. Worked for me.

    I was almost 2 weeks over with this bubs. I had a S&S at about 10am on the 7th. My contractions started about 3pm that day slowly incresing throughout the day and I was admitted into hospital at 9pm that night and had bub at 1.33am on the 8th.
    So YES in my experiance the S&S worked wonders for me
