    Hi,

Probably a little growth spurt - I breastfed on demand and like you my youngest went from 3 hourly feeds down to 2 hourly feeds at about the same age so I just feed her every 2 hours instead while she needed it.

I found Breastfeeding on demand can be very erratic, with babies needing more or less at different times of the day etc, but my advice would be go with the flow and the need of your baby, I found it does level out eventually and you'll see a pattern forming

    Hope this helps

    LYP x

Sounds perfectly normal - either a growth spurt or just your bub's new feeding schedule. Breast feeding on demand is never the same 2 days running. You're doing great job, just keep bubs to the breast.

And congrats on your new baby

Congratulations on your bub! If you want to chat to someone call the Australian Breastfeeding Association Infoline on 1800 mum 2 mum (1800 686 2 686). Like the others said, it sounds perfectly normal to me.

Based on what you had mentioned I'm pretty sure your baby is such a cutie angel now, well this is a normal thing for babies and most often while they grow up there's a tendency that it would be hard to feed them at least you haven't experience it yet with your baby

    Heya!

Yep perfectly normal! My DD was exactly the same, at around the same time as your bub. I demand fed her as and when she wanted it. Breastfeeding is a skill both mum and bubs get the hang onto, and even though it feels like bub is chained to your boob, she will start to get more efficient with time. It was quite draining for me at first (excuse the pun!) but watching bub fatten up and grow makes it all worthwhile

I agree with all PP. It is normal.

All of my DD's were demand fed and would feed every 2 hours.

    Yep. Sounds normal to me
I can't remember how old she was, but one night DD fed every HOUR! That was exhausting.
Congrats on your bubby and keep up the good work. It's so worth it I'm still going at 14.5 months!
