    1 birth 2 labours

The labour and birth was in April 2008 and i was 15 (16 eleven days later) and it was my sister and her 3rd child, i cried when she was in labour but i looked at her in aww after she'd had her.

Just the labour was May 2009 it was my best friend and her 1st child, i missed the labour because i had to go to work (or else i would have been fired which was stupid since it was just a 2.5hr shift) but i returned about 5 minutes after she birthed him and was lucky enough to be blessed with cutting the cord

I have a friend who is due the day i would have been due if i didnt miscarry and she said if i would like then i can go in with her when she is in labour and births her baby, i think its an honor but i might just go for a while when she's in labour, births are a very special thing to me!

I voted 2 but maybe should have voted 3... or perhaps 2.5

As a student nurse I witnessed a c/section for a first time mum and a natural birth (drug free, the mum gave birth kneeling in the spa! Was her 3rd child).

I did get called in to witness another but as I was coming in to the room the bub's head was out already and within seconds bub was out, I didn't really 'see' much of it. Though I did help deliver her placenta.

Funny though I was fine for the c/section and delivering the placenta but for the natural birth in the spa I had to excuse myself and go throw up.

I was with my sister and my best friend - I thought it was a wonderful experience and like the OP found it to be a real privledge. From when I was a child I loved watching chicks hatch, and dogs and cats being born - I just love seeing the begining of a new life!

Zero - and very glad about that!

My bestie planned to have me at the birth of her daughter last year but she went into labour so rapidly that I didn't have time to get to the hopsital. I was secretly relieved about that lol

I haven't seen any in real life, but I am addicted to watching them on youtube! Weird, I know, but I want to know what I've gotten myself into before the big day! lol

I was invited to my neices birth, but that was in the States and I couldn't get time off work ... I'm spewing I missed it!

Only one. A friend at the time.

It was beautiful! She choose to have a c-section after a hour or so of labour. Seeing bub born was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen!

    I find birth amazing!
