I am very proud of myself, I made Moussaka, now I'm not hungry arrgghhh

Earthangel - Yeah I had no idea about the side effects of pethadine before my friend had her bub and have since read my birth book and it tells of the risks in there if they administer too close to birth. I was planning to use it if I wanted pain relief but I might stick to gas now I think. My friend said next time she'll stick to gas she admitted in hindsight gas probably was enough to get her through. I had no idea it wasn't used in the US and Canada but can understand why. An epi is prob safer than peth if you need that extra support.

LillyJack - haha as of tomorrow, you sound like me. I'll get around to walking the dog, eating more veggies and putting away the chocolate right after I finish of this packet of biscuits

    Hi ladies

Stop talking!! too much to catch up on!!

sarbear- glad to see you are out of hospy.. and wow you are SO close hun!
Lilyj- I love chicken nuggets lol. I also have really low cervix-ey movement. Feels like bob is using my cervix as a trampoline lol.
Earthangel- they talked a lot about pain relief at birth class tonight- the midwife is really into natural birth and talked about epi's and pethadeine but not in a positive way which I think may have been a little unfair. True I dont know much about peth but DH's ex had it with my two youngest SD's and all was fine.. I think its a personal choice perhaps. I am not sure if I would use it or not at this stage. MW was very anti epi which was a little unfair i thought.
sparkle- hey, this lovely girl at my birth class has a breech baby girl and they have told her to use the birthball thingy (you know, the exercise ball?) as it can really help move the baby into the right possie.

so dh and I got to monash about 3:30pm for my blood pressure profile and i was soo hot and flustered after having a busy as day at work but my BP was fine- great even! They said to check in with my gp early next week for a BP check but then to just come along to my next appt on 24/2- no issues thus far. YAY!!! Then DH and I hung around till the birthing class and I enjoyed it much more tonight- more informative as it was all about pain relief and it was interesting!! They spoke about water injections and TENS, I had never heard of them! They touched on hypno birthing VERY briefly and Nikki.. I think you were reading into that? Well, I think I may get some info on that as it sounds very interesting! Next week we are onto breast feeding so I am excited about that!

LillyJack - I've noticed I have itchy feet and arms too. It's so annoying. My belly itches sometimes too but I think that's because the skin is stretching.

Hopeful - sounds like you are enjoying the class, I am looking forward to breast feeding tips from ours. I am looking into hypnobirthing but because there are no classes up here I am just doing it through a book and CD, so we'll see how that goes. I've read about TENS but might find out if they have that option during my classes, they start in about a week I think.

Nikki - my belly has only started itching this week, I think it's finally gettting to a point where it's stretched beyond it's limits - especially just above my belly button!

Oh, just remembered today I am suppposed to be healthy..... but it's DH b'day today so I doubt it will last long as I'm planning on getting him the yummiest (and most fattening) chocolate cake I can find from Michele's Patisserie

    Morning ladies.
Lillyj I had a mad itchy upper belly & rash a few months ago. I stopped using the stretch mark cream on it and it went away in a few days. I still just use the cream on my lower belly - for all the good it's doing
I do find my belly gets a bit itchy occasionally now but I reckon it's because of all the material on it - I mean if you look at normal clothes, maternity trousers go way higher and maternity tops go way lower so you have a lot of extra material over your belly. Especially when it's hot, that can't be a good thing!!
I will be thinking about your DH's cake while waiting at the GTT this arvo

WOOHOO I just ordered Juju's book for $21 dollars!! YES that is HALF PRICE WOOHOO!!

I am off to do my GD test this morning, wish me luck!

JetGirl - you could be right, more fabric and the heat could give you a heat rash on top of a stretched belly.
