Question Is feeling sick a sign of food poisoning or could it be labour starting?

Icks, am 39 and a half weeks and (scuse me) feel like I have food poisoning - diahorrea, sore tum, nausea. I keep thinking that it means I am going into labour - could it be so?

It could be either but its very common before labour begins. A friend of mine was throwing up constantly right before her labour started. For me, I didnt throw up but early labour felt like food poisoning- contractions felt like the worst gastro cramps ever.
    Good luck!

Thanks that is interesting also! I ate McDonalds yesterday and thought that might have been it. Oooh, how long did you get that feeling before labour started? I am hoping I still have a few days before bubba arrives...

I didn't feel like vomitting but I got cramps that felt like strong AF type pain & several very urgent visits to the loo for number 2. This happened from 6am on the Sunday. I officially went in to labour at 9pm that night & had bub the following day. I was also getting a show though, so it was a little more clear that it was prelabour although at the time I didn't really think it was about to happen as I was 38/4.

I had pains in the stomach and couldn't stay off the loo

It all started at about 3:30am and Keiara was born at 11:45am so 8 hours.

    Good luck

I didn't face food poisoning issue in my entire life, but my wife did. Actually it's a common problem for her. Last year a Japanese Physician actually suggested her to try Activated Charcoal and it really worked.
