I'm sorry i didn't mean to offend. I'm very blessed that my ds is realitively healthly other then his weight. He was born on the 60 %. He started to stop gainning at 7 mths. He is still breastfed. I hope some of the other mum's can help you.

With the avacado could you blend it in a blender so that it is really smooth then give with some veg for dipping.

You could start on the 22 cal feed and work up t 30 cal as he tolerates, they like them on about 1000 cal a day so a litre at 30cal ould be perfect but wil take some work to get up to that as baby elecare is 20cal per ounce.

we got DD up to 1200mls of formula a day down her J tube ( 50mls hour cont at 22 cal) but after a bad 2 months with reacting to rice milk( dont ask) and then her tube sliting and then surgery we are back to 840mls a day ( 35 per hour) and seen she only absorbes about half of her feeds we are no where near target grrrrr. We trying a new feed next week in hospital called vivonex i hopeing its out miracle feed lol have you heard of it ?? ( sory crashing your thread )

I mashed it so I think that may be the problem as the lumpier bits he spat out. He only seems to like really smooth pastes or purees. Even if I blend meat he won't eat it because of the texture but he's happy if you give him bite sized piecies to chew on so dipping veggies could work. He loves things like gerkins that he can hold and chew on.
