Hi everyone & aren't you happy (like me) that it is Sunday!!

babyjoy - AF didn't make her scheduled appearance. How exciting planning for Japan - May is not far away!

Mummy - yay for short weeks! Hope the scan goes well for the start of the next part for you

    Jess & Cymba

Cheetah - welcome back, yeah we are "the orignals" - darn it!! sending you BIG & as tough as the journey is it's great we all keep positive & strong for the continued paths we choose to take. loads of coming your way

Bekind - i totally hear you about us being 'surrounded' by pregnant women, stories... & have yuo noticed all the celebs are like "oh we didn't expect it to happen this sooon...!" Grrr - well good luck to you too!!! Ha ha, see I'm just as crazy as you are about this!
Stick with us - we're here for you whenever you need us.

HI to everyone else - Sam, Jo....

AFM - it's been a busy week of actually doing things for myself. I have been on the net a bit, but just mundane things like FB & googling stuff. I've enjoyed it. Been for a couple of walks in the arvo's with puppy & DH - part of DH's 'spend more time with riss' approach.

We went to an awesome local concert last night - it's on a farm/winery about 30km out of town & it has a natural amphitheatre. We set up our chairs & picnic & enjoyd music by Wendy Matthews & Daryl Braithwaite. We got free tickets & were like, yeah we probably wouldn't pay to go, but you know what - we probably will next year, we really enjoyed it!

On the TTC front, i expect AF this week sometime & having last BT on Tuesday & will just wait until May to see FS & hopefully get HSG done.
And can I just share how much of an 'expert' I am on this ttc stuff - my 25yo niece by marriage & were talking about ttc last night, they been trying for over a year & she has PCOS but she's not been charting or seen a specialist. So I gave her all the spiel about charting, see a FS etc & she was very interested in what I had to say - how sad that I know all this stuff!!! Ah well, that's life!

This time in 4 weeks we will be on holidays - can't wait!!
Oh & would you believe we have somebody who is genuinely interested in buying the business, they checked it out on Fri & came back Sat too...... so here's hoping!!

    Enjoy your week ladies

OMG I should’ve known better than to type a gazillion words into the forum screen than cutting and pasting from Word… I lost everything don’t you hate that!!!
Anyway I’ll calm down now - hi everyone!
Cymba: of course I remember you, my fellow South Aussie!! Congratulations to you, when are you due?
Jess: great to hear from you too, keep us posted along the way wont you…
Mummyplease: thanks for your welcome. Yes my DH has motility issues and slight morphology so IVF is def the best option for us. Bloody expensive though isn’t it. Not that it comes down to that but jeeeez! Thankfully DH earns good money otherwise it could be a real struggle. Please keep me posted as you’ll be all experienced by the time we start in June. (we can compare notes)
Hey Riss nice to see you’re still around Bet you were glad to see another ‘original’ still on the scene! Things are sounding very positive with your business sale, fingers crossed, I’m sure all will fall into place.
Babyjoy & Bekind: I can totally relate (and I think we all can) re hearing of new pregnancies or births from friends who you didn’t realize were pregnant..it all gets a bit much at times doesn’t it. To be honest I’ve been keeping a fairly low profile around many friends for the past few months, mostly to avoid emotions running free, questions which I don’t want to answer and quite frankly shouldn’t be asked in the first place. I just don’t know why people are so insensitive and my family is just as bad My parents constantly talk about my sisters kids and as gorgeous as they both are, I just don’t want to hear about them all the time. I received a newsletter from my fertility clinic which discusses how family can help support those trying to fall pregnant or going through IVF which I’m going to retype and email to my Mum and sister!
AFM (even though I’ve talked about myself through this whole message oops) it has been 2 years this month since I’ve been off the pill and TTC and I5 day weekend (like Mummyp) so feel there is cause for celebration over Easter… any excuse hey! How convenient that I work for a winery and get 50% off wine…yes yes I know I shouldn’t be drinking whilst TTC but hell that would mean no alcohol for the past two years and I aint putting my life on hold anymore!!
Take care chicks, have a great Easter and stay safe xx

Morning ladies, hope you are all well.

Cheetah, not sure if we have chatted before, but welcome back. I hope your stay is a short one this time. I know exactly what you mean about people being insensitive. They really should just mind their own business. I hope your family becomes a lot more supportive.

Riss - glad to hear you have been taking some time out for yourself. I hope things are back on track with DH now, sounds like that concert was lovely. Excellent news about the business, keeping my for you.

Mummy - good luck for your scan tomorrow. Hopefully things are better with DH, & you managed to spend time together over the weekend.

Babyjoy - keeping everything that AF doesn't show up.

Bekind - sorry to hear about AF arriving. Sending you lots of .

    Sam & Jess

AFM, well AF showed up on Friday, leaving me totally devasted as it now means we are into our 12th month of TTC. I really can't believe it, & have been feeling terrible. Feel like i am really letting DP down at the moment & am so over it all. I've started taking the vitex potion, which tastes terrible, but I really hope it gets my cycle back on track as these long ones are doing my head in at the mo.

On a brighter note I have the whole week off after easter. We're going to spend most of the time doing stuff around the house in preparation to start on our outdoor entertaining area, so at least i'll have something else to focus on. Have absolutely no work to do & am trying really hard not to spend my time googling baby stuff as it just depresses me even more.

Anyway, have a lovely day ladies

    Hi Ladies

I have been reading the posts so I'll try and get to all the personals but I'm sorry in advance if I miss anyone!!

Jo - So sorry that the witch arrived she's horrible. I always think "I can't believe its taking this long!" so can completely relate there! Hopefully it won't be much longer for all of us! Hope you have a lovely week off and that your house plans run smoothly

Riss - Totally understand about being an expert! I find myself giving out all sorts of TTC advice to people. A girl at my work and I talk about it constantly! If one of us gets pregnant then the conversation will just dry up Also i hope that the business sells soon - sending you heaps of good luck vibes!

Cheetah - Welcome back! I haven't given up alcohol either so I wouldn't worry about it! I think its keeping me sane sometimes! I hope your stay here will be very short (and I hope that for everyone else here as well!)

BabyJoy - I know what you mean about expecting AF. I figure that too. Why would this month be any different, nothing changed, didn't do anything different! Hopefully she'll just not turn up one day and suprise you!! its very soon

Jess - Great to hear from you. I'm so pleased everything is going well with the Twins!

Bekind - i hear ya! I saw that magazine and even though it went against all my being, I still bought it. Maybe I thought just purchasing it would bring me luck What a loser!!

Anyone else i missed - Hi and sorry!!

AFM - I got the job down in East Gippsland so I am moving on the 10th April! Its all happening pretty fast but really exciting! Maybe the sea air will give us some fertility vibes. Here's hoping. AF only lasted for 48 hours last time so I think my cycle is still working itself out after the miscarriage. I'm not really that worried about it now that I'm starting a new job. They have paid mat leave (13 weeks full or 26 weeks half) so I'm hoping that I can qualify for that. It will certainly make things easier financially. Anyway, better do some work seeing as though someone else will have to take over soon!!

    cheers
    Sam

    Hi Ladies!

Have been AWOL for a few days but have been reading your posts! Can't believe how chatty it has been in here lately

Babyjoy - that AF stays away this month. Wow, a trip to Japan sounds great!

Riss - Totally agree that after 15 mths ttc, I feel like a bit of an expert too - although I never really got into temping etc. I have warned a few of my friends to go off the pill a few months before they want to start, just in case it mucks up their cycles. Great news re selling the business, hope they decide to buy it!

Cheetah - aghhh, I hear you about IVF being so expensive. TBH, we don't really have a lot of spare money floating around so if this cycle fails, it will be more of a struggle and will eat into our savings. Still, we will find the money somewhere! I will keep you updated!

Josephine - sorry that AF reared her very ugly head! Totally understand how devastating it is every month, especially some months where you know you did everything right! Lots of to you, your time will come!

Sam - Congrats on the new job! Very happy for you!

AFM - not much happening really. Have had bad headaches since Sunday, not sure if they are from the drugs or if I am getting sick Hopefully I am not getting sick as I have 5 days off from Thursday and 2 dinner parties to cook for (not exactly a holiday but will be fun hosting!)

Scan is tomorrow so that all is going well, otherwise everything might get pushed back a week or so. Will keep you updated.

Aghh, work is so busy this week so best get back to it.

Have a lovely Easter if I don't get back in here before the weekend

Cheetah - isn't that sooooo frustrating to lose posts I am having so many computer issues at the mo, but getting it serviced soon so hope that helps. Ooooh I am jealous - 50% off wine - LOL! Enjoy while you can I say!

Josephine - I'm sending you BIG honey, we all know how low you would be feeling... yay for the week off! What's the plans for your outdoor area? I was just laying out in the hammock on our deck, it's such a beautiful evening here...

Sam - well done on the job front!! I'm sure a sea change will do you both wonders.

Mummy - best wishes for your scan. stay well, the dinners sound like fun

AFM - last BT today, the preg one apparently though as much as I wish & hope there's really no chance of me being UTD given that our last DTD was about 5 days before O. Just wish AF would hurry up....

Thanks for all your re selling the business - I'm putting heaps out there too!

Can't wait for Thursday 5pm - 4 whole days off.... yippeee!!!!!

    Hi Ladies,
cheetah - I can relate to keeping a low profile! Most of my friends have kids now and I don't really feel like catching up with them very often and as for the newly pregnant ones, i don't want to hear how it only took them a short time to get pregnant. So definitely keeping to myself and have been for a while now.

jo - sorry about AF but hope you have a great week off. The plans for the outdoor entertaining area sounds great! It will definitely be a relief from focusing on ttc.

sam - congrats on the new job! how lovely to find a job away from the city. And with paid maternity to boot!!

riss - we usually never wish this on here, but hope AF comes promptly for u. And like everyone else has said, good luck with selling ur business.

So, AF showed up yesterday. I haven't had a cry like all the other times. I just feel resigned. I take comfort in the fact that it's only cycle 2 on the chinese herbs and remain hopeful that third time is a charm. The herbalist did say to give her around 3 months and there are definite improvements in my cycle, mucous and general well-being (although definitely not 100% yet on the last one!). So we'll just try again for what will be our 16th cycle of ttc. I need to try to relax more this cycle but that's easier said than done!!! I already told hubby that once ovulation happens this cycle, I'll be spending the subsequent weekends veging on the couch and zoning out to relax.

We will look into IVF if things don't happen by July. That's the current plan anyway.

Anyway, hope you all have a relaxing and safe easter break.

babyjoy - don't worry darl we (DH & I) are not far behind you on the journey.... cycle 13 for us...
I have also unwittingly decided to keep clear of most things involving kids, we've realised you can count on one hand how many of our friends don't have kids!

AF showed up this morning, and I am happy as now I know where things are at & will be able to pencil in to get the HSG done. Also hopefully things stay on track with DH & I so we'll give it a good shot this month - after all I technically was pregnant last time I saw FS so it'd work out brilliantly if I was the next time - we see her 7th May.

Well I want to officially call 2010 my "annis horribilis" (sp??) So it turns out we can't even sell our business now as the owners have turned around & said they have plans for the space so don't want tenants. Between you & me I think they wanted this all along but were happy taking our rent & waiting until we made the decision to walk away.... I totally get that this is completely fine from a business point of view in that they're entitled to do that, but we have spent an extra 3 months on rent as well as a few hundred on advertising since we told them all our issues & I think it's unfair they've let it drag on..... I'm so disappointed......
Surely things have to get better....??

Anyway, like DH says I will try not to dwell on it but it's hard.....

Not sure that I'll be back by tomorrow night so here's wishing you all a WONDERFUL easter & enjoy the break & will catch up next week..... I think there should be an easter egg icon

    xxxx
