Default What type of "work cover" insurance?

There is the opportunity for me to work from home as a consultant, only a couple of times a year until the products become more popular. Anyway the company wants me to have insurance as I will be working for myself (I need an ABN). (Similar to workcover insurance)

First of all I have no idea about how to go about getting this type of insurance (the lady from the company didnt know either as this is a new role) and secondly I dont think that it is worth paying perhaps hundreds of dollars for a couple of days work, unless I can insure myself for the days I work ????

    Need help!

Just google work cover, and it comes up with a few options, depending on what state you are from.

With the business I work for we actually just pay to workcoversa....I didn't think there was different insurance companies as such

I found out through a broker that I need liability insurance and it may be around $450-500 per year. Not worth it for a couple of days work. Thanks guys.
