Default does anyone know what this is... Fat Crystals and Fat Globules in STOOL testing??

DS has had stool testing done last week but his paed called me the other day & has sent out another container to collect more of his stools for further testing... there are a few things written on the sheet but the only one i can understand clearly says - Fat Crystals and Fat Globules...
does anyone know what this is or what they would be testing for??

I just googled and it looks like they would be testing for celiac disease, or gluten intolerance. Have a google and you'll see quite a lot of info

Lots of different conditions. Everyone has some fat in their stool but an excessive amount means for some reason you are not digesting fat adequtely.
A one off test is not necessarily significant which is why the Dr is sending more.
It's one test in a barage of tests Dr may do
sry toddler feeding so cant explain more

Best to chat with Dr as there are heaps of conditions, but bub needs to meet criteria on more then one test for a diagnosis ie if there is lots in repeat test they may look at blood and or 24hr collection of stools
