Popping back in to say I'm still feeding 26mo Kaelan cutting him back to naptime & bedtime due to being pregnant with #2 and wanting a break. Tonight is the first night I'll be refusing feeds when he comes into our bed (he wakes 2-3 times for 'more big boob mummy!') and substituting with cuddles. Here's hoping we can gently wean and maybe, just maybe he'll start sleeping through!

Awesome to see all these happy kiddies and mums breastfeeding

Marley is 4 1/2 now, still demanding booby, I think he'll be following in his brothers footsteps, and cracking the 5 year mark. We shall see! My boobs have been making milk for 9 1/2 years solid now.... wow, it will certainly be the end of an era when Marley weans. I'm happy for him to still nurse (It's only a couple of times a day now) but I'll be ready to stop when he is.

Yay this thread has been great to find!! My dd is 17mo and no chance of stopping anytime soon. My goal is two, but at the same time, what ever and however it plays out is my thought! She feeds heaps ATM, I think the molars are on their way, and still feeds anywhere from 1-7 times a night. I was not overly concerned, and reading many similar stories took the edge off (any worries that did creep in) I've always fed in public no worries, but I'm finding recently I'm getting shy about it, dd is really tall and big, and squirmy, so I feel more comfortable hiding away somewhere in public. Oooo and there she is for first night feed )) oh, and my mums constant remarks of her still feeding at school, uni wear thin after a while. Yay for boobies!!!

Great work Dreamer! My "baby" turned three yo yesterday and is still bf. yes the "helpful" comments and suggestions we wean are annoying, but I've found they are diminishing with time as I give the same response every time - "He will stop when he is ready, not when anyone else thinks he should!" I'm determined to let him self wean and I can see he is starting to do that.

My little man is turning two in nov and only feeds before bed now. I guess we will keep going until he wants to stop? I'd like to keep going almost entirely so I can see what happens when I get preg (hopefully early next year)!
