    Hi Ying Yang

as bub gets older family friends professionals and even strangers think they are "helping" by telling us mums how to feed and raise our babies. The challenge is to stay tuned in to our inner voice or mothers instinct as the din of "advice" gets louder and louder. Please try to ignore all the fools telling you to wean and follow the lead of your baby and your heart. YOU know best. You are doing what is best for your little girl by feeding her when SHE wants, not at the frequency that others think she should feed. Good luck.

And from me; I'm still feeding my son who is turning three in August. Sometimes I feel like I'm ready for him to wean but most of the time I still love it. I feed him three times a day. Morning (any second now!) nap time and night time. Oh here he comes...

Oops just realised my sig is way out of date! Anyway, I was just going to add I'm determined to self-wean despite sometimes feeling like I'm ready and my family (especially my mum) has been suggesting I wean for AGES

I think my boy might be weaning himself too! We were doing a morning feed and just before bed but in the last few weeks he has completely refused the night feed and won't take boob when he wakes overnight (prefers water). So now we are down to first thing in the morning it's the only feed he will accept. He's on his way I think

Just found this thread!! DD is 10.5 months & still boobing many times a day so I will be joining you in 6 weeks or so. Sad to read that you are feeling pressured to give up BF Ying Yang. This is why I don't really go to the mchn (only to get DD weighed & measured every few months, then beat a hasty retreat!!)

I'm still going strong with DD2 who is now 21 months. MIL is currently staying and keeps telling me I'll have to wean soon, it's not fair to bubs on the days I work apparently.

Oh and to top it off she tells me just to give her a dummy dipped in honey instead Yeah, right....

Popping back in to say I'm still feeding 26mo Kaelan cutting him back to naptime & bedtime due to being pregnant with #2 and wanting a break. Tonight is the first night I'll be refusing feeds when he comes into our bed (he wakes 2-3 times for 'more big boob mummy!') and substituting with cuddles. Here's hoping we can gently wean and maybe, just maybe he'll start sleeping through!
