I noticed the same at around 12 weeks, there was just nothing there, maybe a few drops.. And then around 20 something weeks the colostrum came in. I talked to a LC and I even tried maxalon to bring mu supply back, but it didn't do anything, guess the hormones are stronger than medicine..

AT a similar time, i saw a big decrease in supply and thought DD was going to stop but she kept feeding. She was getting pretty frustrated there for awhile though. I never expressed to check what i was producing but still noticed a slight difference pre and post feed so must have been making something.

If bub is still keen, and you are ok with it, just keep feeding and see what happens from here.

Thanks.. At this stage I don't have plans to make her stop yet but I hand expressed a tiny bit the other day and it's very colostrum-like :-) At least she's getting comfort and a little bit of goodness!!

Just wanted to pop in and say hi to everyone feeding past 12 months. DS and I are still feeding 25 months on. 3 feeds a day, waking, before nap and bed. It would be more if he had his way but we are slowly weaning. I'm worried about dropping the before nap feed- he doesn't sleep if he doesn't get it- so we may wait till he's good to drop the sleep. Great to see others here too ignoring the sad comments from family friends and strangers who think its weird. It's beautiful and great we are strong enough to ignore it.

I have to say goodbye to this thread My DS announced 'no more booba' 3 days after his birthday, just before christmas. Other than a token 5 second latch the next day, if I offer he refuses :'(

SO, we made it to 3 year and 3 days of breastfeeding. I am rather chuffed about that, and think we did awesome!! Good luck to you all in your extended breast feeding journeys!!
