Morning ladies . Sorry to have been MIA, I've been on a course all week which was pretty intense and by the time I've been getting home all I've wanted to do was sit down and relax.

Mini - Wonderful news bubs is doing so well, after following your trials and tribulations over the last year or 2 I am so happy for you and DH that your perserverance and faith has paid off

Lilly - Hope everything goes perfectly with your ET today

    Penny - Yay for AF

    soclose - AF stays away

Micca - Hope you see some nice growing follies on your scan tomorrow

Goldy - sorry to hear your cycle was cancelled. Can understand waiting until your lining is right though

Pippy - Hope all is going well with the follie ripening

Kitty - Welcome, hope your journey is short and sweet

Kismet - How is your little girl treating you? Any strong punches and kicks?

AFM - 2WW has been going fine, been so busy I haven't had much time to think too much about it which has been good. Really have no idea one way or the other but will know by this time next week.

Hope everyone has a wonderful easter

    Default Happy Easter x

Kitty – Welcome! Very exciting times ahead, and hopefully not turbulent!

Minibar – How bloody wonderful! I wish you were here in the West so we could meet for coffee and compare notes! (In fact, I wish ALL us ladies on here were in the same place, just imagine our mothers group!).

Kismet – I am also keen to know how you are feeling and doing x

Soclose - yes 600, I was blown away but for me it seemed to work. It sounds like I am the rare few that seem to have been on high dosages and the hard drugs like growth hormones (nasty).

Micca – Sounds like you have a beautiful basket of Easter eggs. It is a good sign when the eggs are developing at the same pace, and lucky you -15!!!! That is awesome.

Goldy – Bugger, sorry to hear your cycle was cancelled, it sucks your back WAITING (our worst word). My acupuncturist gives herbs to assist the lining…I’m not sure if I mentioned that before. I also agree with saving your precious embies what a wonderful gift. for next month! x

Lilly – I will be thinking of you tomorrow. And bring on the pommy wash! Lilly, I told my FS that I hated inserting the esto/progesterone pessaries up my fanny and didn’t have time to lie down for ½ hour afterwards. So this time he told me to do them rectally. Honestly I hated the thought, but it is so much easier, they seem to pop in by themselves, no mess, no leaks in your knickers. He said I will absorb just as much as the other way around…hope this makes sense, and after three cycles I totally recommend it. Remember I do 3 a day, grrr.

Pisces and everyone else, I hope you are all well and surviving the waiting games, enjoy your Easter break!

I did have another bleed last Sunday, but I believe it was the empty sack this time (by the looks). I put my legs up hoping the bleeding would stop, and it did by Monday afternoon. I didn’t ring the clinic this time. I didn’t want to annoy them. But saying that I should have because I was stressing and wondering if everything is ok in there, I am sure it is.
It is so crappy that after 8 weeks you don’t visit the clinic again until the 12 week scan. You go from full on monitoring to nothing!
I asked a friend that did IVF for 10 years and now has two beautiful girls, when did she stop worrying and just enjoyed her pregnancy. She said she didn’t until the baby was born, doh.

I am not usually a stress head! Hopefully after the 12 week mark I can start enjoying this wonderful gift.

BTW, I wonder if having the laptop on my lap for hours on end is bad for the peanut, not to mention fertility...

    Anxious,

I am always paranoid about things like that, I won't even rest the mobile in that area even when I am trying to concieve.....lol

I also take high doses...start at 450 puregon and finish with 600....worked first time round....

I have been taking DHEA now for 6 months....I take my temp every morning....now for the past 5 days it has read 36.1-36.2.....perfect for conception....not normal as you only usually have this for 1 or2 days...wonder if it is the drugs...............

hope everyone is having a great start to the easter w/e....

    will catch up soon

Anxious - So glad to hear your bleeding stopped quickly. I'm sure bubba is just settling in for the long haul and just wanted to "decorate" and clear it's environment of anything it didn't want there

    Hi all,

Hope I've got everyone in the right place on the roll call. Please, please let me know if I haven't.

Lilly40 - Best of luck for tomorrow! Will be thinking of you! Rest up well over the weekend. Hope this is your time!

Micca - Good luck for your ultrasound tomorrow. Hope you get great news on your egg numbers.

KittyM - Welcome. Hope this first cycle is all you need and your time on the rollercoaster is short.

Pisces11 - Well done for staying sane so far in your 2ww. Thank goodness for a distracting course! Hope that little embryo is snuggling in deep for you!

Anxious- Mini - Kismet -Lucky - Pippy and all the others - hope you're all having a lovely easter.

AFM - DP had some bad test results of a chromosonal (FISH) study he had done 3 weeks ago. They said we didn't need the test, but I insisted on it, and now I'm glad I did. Although I didn't need to get the results so close to when we are heading over to SAfrica! He has abnormal chromosome rate ot 18.5% where normal is 4.7%.

We've been pretty thrown about it all and immediately emailed SA to let the FS know. My FS is Prof. Kruger and luckily he specialises in MFI, so we feel we are in good hands. He has told us not to worry too much (hard not to though) and he'll discuss it in more detail when we see him on April 12, but that he will fertilise the eggs using a method called PICSI which is where the sperm is placed in a petrie dish with a binding solution which attracts healthy, mature sperm. The bound (healthy) sperm are then selected for ICSI.

I've got a lot more reading to do, but initial searching about it seems to support PICSI has a good success rate. I just can't work out why it's not widely available in Australia already. Are we behind the eight ball in the fertility world? Or is it a method that's been tried and discarded? I just don't know.

There always seems to be something doesn't there?

    Hi everyone,
Just realised I haven't been on here for awhile, lots of catching up to do.

    Goldy
    - sorry to hear your cycle got cancelled. It really sucks when you get set ready to go and can't take off. Better luck next time

Micca - when does EPU look like happening? Looks like you will have a great egg count.

Anxious - nope you don't stop worrying, you get past one milestone then there's another. I won't be relieved until bub has arrived safely. Pessaries up the bum...eww, I never intend on putting anything up there.

Pisces - hope all is well and you have the best news ever really soon.

AFM - have been feeling bublet kick, she kicks my hand now. It is the most weirdest feeling but exciting at the same time. Wasn't too exciting last night though, felt like she was kicking me in the moomoo. Am feeling great atm.

Hi to everyone I haven't mentioned this time. Hope you all have a great easter break.

Happy Easter Ladies hope everyone is doing well.

Penny the roll call is fantatsic its a great wayto keep up with where everyone is at as the thread keeps growing.

Well we received the dreaded phone call from the hospital this morning to say our last embryo didnt survive the defrost so no transfer for me this month. I thought I would be ok if this happened as I prepared myself for it but to my surprise it still hit me like a tone of bricks so felling pretty flat this easter. Maybe its the progesterone kicking in

Looks like another cycle for me, I call the nurse monday as my dr has already done the paper work at my last appointment so as not to slow things down. Maybe he knew something I didnt.

Anyway ladies thinking of you all and have a fantastic easter XOX
