Default What happened to showing up on time???

I am waiting for a carpet guy to show up - he is currently nearly 2 hours late
He is also not answering his phone and didn't feel it necessary to call and say he would be late.
    WTF is it with people????
I have had to cancel my whole day for this joker - not impressed at all
    Plus i am sick.

    Vent over...

No one is ever on time these days.. it sucks and no one ever has the decency to call or return messages..

Not even staff members at my work can turn up on time for a days work... but us younger ones are the ones that cop it?

Oops that turned into a vent LOL!

That really drives me nuts I'm still waiting for a plumber to contact me a week and half after the owner said he would ring someone to come out Either they have poor time management skills or they are poor business people.

I'd be calling someone else to come out and tell him he didn't turn up for hours so you got someone else

Delirium sounds like my plumber My landlord insists we have to use this one particular plumber and there have been multiple occasions where he failed to turn up at all.. or to turn up 3 days later

MM hope he shows up soon!

We have already paid for the carpet, he is just laying it and it needs to be done today as we have built in robes going in.
They have stuffed us around so much i wish i could just cancel it but we have two rooms already laid and want the rest of the house in the same carpet.
I will be informing the company that this carpet layer was late (or i'm guessing may not show up at all) and we want some else to come lay the carpet.
It is so frustrating as we are kinda stuck with it now - too late to change companies.

I often ask contractors or delivery people to give me a call when they're on the way to our house so that I can meet them there. I only work 5 minutes away so can meet them there whenever they show up. Most do call, especially since I tell them I need to make sure the large dogs are restrained

Well he answered his phone, at last, and is 'on his way'. No apology, no explanation.
So now at 2 and 1/2 hours late he might be here in about 1/2 - 1 hour.
Meanwhile i am ill and am supposed to resting and catching up on missed tafe work, while my DD is at her grandparents, but instead i am waiting around for a jerk.
    Never again.......

Omg how annoying I hate it when people are late, it's one of my pet peeves. I try to always be on time, but even on the occasion where I am, I always apologise. I've noticed lately that all my friends, and even my mother, are consistently late whenever i'm meeting up with them. I never get an apology either. Grrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!
