"Because you loved me" by Celine Dion- the lyrics were the last thing i said to my mum before she died

    and

'Tears in Heaven" by Eric Clapton- was the song played at my friends baby sons funeral.

Earlier this year my DP & I miscarried and one day in the car he told me he'd been listening to Hear You Me by Jimmy Eat World and that it made him think of the person we lost and who we didnt get to meet.
The part I put in bold makes me cry all the time.Even typing this I'm getting teary.

    Video song link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=95jkCdOeIy0

There's no one in town I know
You gave us some place to go
I never said thank you for that
'thought I might get one more chance

What would you think of me now?
So lucky, so strong, so proud
I never said thank you for that
Now I'll never have a chance

    May angels lead you in
    Hear you me my friends
On sleepless roads, the sleepless go
    May angels lead you in

So what would you think of me now?
So lucky, so strong, so proud
I never said thank you for that
Now I'll never have a chance

    May angels lead you in
    Hear you me my friends
On sleepless roads the sleepless go
    May angels lead you in

    (May angels lead you in)
    May angels lead you in
    (May angels lead you in)
    May angels lead you in

And if you were with me tonight
I'd sing to you just one more time
A song for a heart so big
    God wouldn't let it live

    May angels lead you in
    Hear you me my friends
On sleepless roads the sleepless go
    May angels lead you in

    May angels lead you in
    Hear you me my friends
On sleepless roads the sleepless go
    May angels lead you in

My friend hung himself when I was in Year 11. After the life support was turned off, I was driving from the hospital with his brother and a few friends and the song "The Sweetest Thing" by U2 came on the radio. His brother started singing along softly, and then we all joined in.

Every time I hear it now, I think of my friend and shed a few tears. Once it came on the radio when I was having a really hard day, and I thought it was probably him trying to cheer me up. I can't believe it will be 8 years this year since it happened.

    pinks 'ave mary a'

makes me think of my dad who took his own life at 50 yrs old, about 4 months ago. there are so many things i wish i could do over. so many things i wish i could tell him.

    Motorcycles in the parking lot
Revving their engines and it just wont stop
Matches and noise screaming in my head
Houston, I think we got a problem

Where does everybody go when they go?
The go so fast I don't think they know
    We hate so fast
    And we love too slow
London, I think we got a problem

And when I think about it
I just can't think about it
I try to drink about it
    I keep spinning

    Ave Mary A
    Where did you go?
    Where did you go?
How did you know to get out of a world gone mad?
    Help me let go
    Of the chaos around me
    The devil that hounds me
I need you to tell me

    Child, be still
    Child, be still

Broken hearts all around the spot
I can't help thinking that we lost the plot
Suicide bomber and a student shot
Tokyo, I think we got a problem

But for that, they got a pill
If that don't kill you, then the side effects will
If we don't kill each other, then the side effects will
Cape Town, I think we got a problem

    Ave Mary A
    Where did you go?
    Where did you go?
How did you know to get out of a world gone mad?
    Help me let go
    Of the chaos around me
    The devil that hounds me
I need you to tell me

    Child, be still

    If the darkest hour comes
    Before the light
    Where is the light?
    Where is the light?

    If the darkest hour comes
    Before the light
    Where is the light?
    Where is the light?
    Where is the light, yeah

    Ave Mary A
    Where did you go?
    Where did you go?
How did you know to get out of a world gone mad?
Help me, help me, let go
    Of the chaos around me
    The devil that hounds me
I need you to tell me

    Child, be still
    Child, be still
    Child, be still

Supermumof3 I'm so sorry for your loss. That would be so hard to deal with.

The songs that get me every time are:

Amazing grace - played at my Grandmothers funeral (that day was the first day DP felt my DS kick me as the coffin was carried out).
Forever young by Youth Group - played at my pops funeral in Jan. Now hearing it I still burst into tears. My Dad chose it because my Pop was 81 when he passed and even though he was old he was still so full of life.
