Nic255 - Just thought I'd let you know mine are blue. Mum made them blue for me because I was having a boy. Dark grey would work well because you wouldn't see the stains.

DD has taken to pooing once every 2 days or so, so they're big and messy when they come. Yesterday she did the most enormous splat I've ever seen - honestly, it was like half a jar of mustard! LOL. But guess what? None of it escaped!!! Hooray!
There's no way a sposie would have held it, and probably not anything without leg gussets. But my faithful Thirsties cover kept it all in and saved DD's clothes and the car seat. INSIDE the cover it was everywhere (never seen so much poo outside the nappy!) but not a drop managed to escape from the cover.

Funny thing was it was a lucky escape. Only an hour before she had been wearing a sposie while she was in the creche while I went for a swim (too hard to explain to creche staff about MCN's). Fortunately I decided to ditch the sposie as soon as she came out of creche. Phew!

Now I'm just waiting for the sun to do its job on the stains... mustard yellow poo does some serious nappy staining
love thirstes covers! only ones that have never leaked for us.

Chanton - You have an awesome stash. How exciting for you! Don't worry your bubba will be here in no time. Thank you for sharing. Can't wait to see pics of your bub now with a little cloth bottom.

Is anyone else STILL waiting on an order of Bum Genius from Nurture Nappies? I put my order in in early December and they still haven't arrived. Have got emails from Nuture Nappies saying the shipment from the US was delayed and offering to cancel the order if I wanted, but I just want my nappies!

It's been about 10 weeks now!

Chanton - Wow that is an impressive stash. What type do you have mainly?

We'v run out of money for baby things so I'll have to wait fo the baby bonus to get my own stash happening.

By the way has anyone tried Hippybottomus nappies? I was looking at their site the other day and they seemed very reasonable. Thought I might buy a few if they are half way decent as most of the other MCN's I'm considering buying cost $40.

Mostly pocket nappies. I think there are 7 or 10 AIOs (with additional inserts/boosters). As far as brands I think Green Kids, Issy Bear, Haute and Cushie Tushies at about 7 of each.

Finallyready - was your bumgenius purchase through Nuture Nappies when the Organic AIOs were on special, in blue and green only? I bought one of each in that special and they only took a week or so to arrive. I'd be grumpy if I were you, especially if you have a bub ready to put in them (unlike me)

I agree. I wish they had a pic on their site. Might just buy 1 or 2 and see how they go
