Default AF 9 days late. Neg tests?

Morning. I am having a few dramas in regards to AF.
Well I did a test over a week ago?! and it was a very faint positive so as the days went by with no af I just assumed I was possibly pregnant. So I went to the doctors the other day to get tested and it was a BFN. I am now 9 days overdue and know for a fact DH and I dtd right when I was ovulating. I have no idea whats going on. How long should I wait before I request a blood test?

Hey R. I have found in the past that the doctors tests are not as sensitive asthe ones you can by from the chemist or supermarket. I would do another test at home and see if the line is any darker. If it is then I would say your utd.
Goodluck matey and I hope you get the result you are after.

yeah, i would do another test with fmu and see what the result from that it. if its positive, i would go back to the docs and get a blood test. the same thing happened to me, i was late and went for a test at the docs and it came back neg, then i waited a couple of days and did a test and it was positive. so yeah, i don't think the doc ones are very good. blood tests are the best way, so see how it all goes. and lots and lots of to you

If youtested over a week ago and you're only now 9 days late it's probable the doc doesn't use an "early" test, like the one you probably used at home. By now you should definitely show up on an early test so why not try again and see if the line is darker or shows up faster?

A BFP is a BFPso if a second home test shows positive then you shouldn't need a blood test as well, unless you particularly like being stuck with needles or have a need to know your exact hCG levels.
