If your arriving unannounced then 5:30pm is the latest. Coz quite frankly i'm not going to hear the door til the kids are in bed and i get a chance to turn down the telly. Way too much goes on at that time of day.
If i know ur coming then generally any time up til midnight providing your quiet coming up the drive way and dont knock my door.

Haha- I must be a prude. Unless there is an emergency or expected visitor- don't call in past 5pm!

The only people to randomly rock up would be DPs parents or sister. More often than not, they both would call ahead first at night though, and if not, it's just MIL or FIL dropped something around.

We don't go to bed until 10.30-12 depending on the night, and DDs bedroom is right up the other end of the house (as are all bedrooms).

I wouldn't care even if hers was right near the door... she'd probably sleep through it and if not, I'd just tell her to get back to bed.

i reckon anything after 7pm unless i know someone is coming but nobody ever comes knocking on my doors so no worries here. occasionally in a full moon i might get someone but generally i have said its alright for them to come over.nobody ever comes to my house and i kinda prefer it that way.

Anything after 7pm and I would assume it was an emergency. Or someone telling me our dog was out or something.
