Wow, MK how crazy to find out that you have so many siblings, especially one so young!!! I have a 14yr old brother but it would spin me out to find a 5yo, especially since they would be younger than J!!! Glad you have found them though! Is your mum supportive about it all?

Bosco- Hope the night feeds settle down soon... although they haven't here yet so hopefully you have better luck than I do!!

I've just been putting A in bed with me after her 4am feed most days and last night it was her 2am one. it's the only way to get her to sleep a full 3hrs without having her fuss and wriggle about in her bassinette.

    Hello my lovelies,

Nic - Just an idea, but for some reason Xavier started sleeping 8-9 hours once I switched him from the bassinette to his cot can't think of anything else I changed... the only other thing I religously do is take him for a loooong walk in the pram in the early evening and then bath, feed and bed. I'm sure you've tried everything and all babies are different - I'm just trying to share some of the magic sleep dust around It does sound like Miss A is teething doesn't it? Hope she has been feeding better for you the last few days. It must wreak havoc with your boobs and supply to have her play hard to get.

Mama - how exciting to find your siblings! Wow! Your digital scrapping looks awesome on fb. Go you!

Bosco - hope J is stretching out her feeds for you hang in there, for us it happened all of a sudden. I know I was a snappy, barely functioning human when I was on the 2 hour rotation overnight. No mother of the year awards for me....

MrsShe - hope your surviving the MIL's visit

Smoore - how are you? Did your stitches settle down? I had some granulation that had to be silver nitrated off. OUCH! I'm still yet to DTD but my ob assures me everything has, ahem, structural rigidity.

AFU: I find myself staring back at X's newborn photos feeling all weepy. Where did he go? I had no idea he'd grow so fast! Funnily enough (given there is no BDing happening yet) we have even had a few thoughts of going back for #2. They were fleeting though

LMAO we are exactly the same. The sad thing is though we are old crusties and my eggs are like a gazillion years old but the obstetrician said he tore my uterus during the emergency C section and I have a feeling he will want us to wait at least a year before TTC. A bit of a catch 22 but it's funny how 6 weeks ago I never thought I could cope with J let alone think of having another bub but there is part of me that misses being pregnant so much. I guess it's because I was on guard the whole pregnancy wishing every week away and waiting to start bleeding ....

Bambi- Lol at your fleeting thoughts. I would love to also, but at the moment must wait at least a while to be entitled to paid leave again. Don't want to go back to work UTD (although I'm sure it's happened). Also think I need some time out for a bit as I'm pretty exhausted and have been pregnant for almost 14mths out of the last 18/19. Must say though, strangely enough having a baby has done wonders for our 'romantic' life..who would have thought!

Bosco- One day at a time honey, see how you feel when you are allowed to TTC again. But I certainly don't think you are old at all, it's not like you are an 80yr old having IVF which has happened!! As long as you haven't gone through menopause then it's all good (JMO)!

AFM- You've probably seen it on FB but went to the doctors today and I have Bell's Palsy so have to put A on formula for a week or so depending on how the corticosteroids go treating it. Broke my heart and I had the biggest cry feeding her before I took my first tablet, I'm worried it could be the last time as she may not want to come back to the breast. She isn't fussed though and actually went 5hrs between feeds before she declared she was hungry today (she normally goes 3 maximum). She has been much more settled on the formula tonight, hopefully she will get a good sleep and so will I....
Bambi- tried having her sleep in her cot last night and she was terrible! I don't think it was to do with the cot though, she was really off and not wanting to sleep and could hear her chatting and cooing at 1am~! Gave up at 4 and put her in our bed. I think tonight could be a winner though cause of the formula.

Bosco and Nic - maybe we will all be UTD together again next year I know MrsShe was planning on another bub sooner rather than later too

Bosco - your eggs are clearly superior to have created such a divine bub as J, so banish those thoughts at once!

Nic - so very sorry to hear about the Bells. Have the meds kicked in yet? How is A going on the formula? I bet she can't wait to get back on the booby. Did she sleep any better for it?

AFM- time is just flying by! How can our babies be so big already? I want to hit pause

    to everyone else

Bambi - IKWYM, I want to hit rewind over here, I am hanging for a bit of me time to get my nails done, hair done and maybe have a shower once every month...and the little ones are just flying along. J is 6 weeks already, where has the last 6 weeks gone??

Nic - My crusty old eggs are probably dried up the last fertility specialist said my FSH levels at day 3 were a bit high so maybe low ovarian reserve. I really don't want that to be true, she did mention the results can vary month to month so she didn't write us off, which was good considering I fell pg the next cycle after the hsg. I hope the formula gives you some rest. J went to the paediatrician yesterday for her check up and now she is on karicare thickener in her formula to settle the reflux. Hopefully she will sleep longer and stay fuller....

MrsShe - How are things?? you are probably all MIL out at the moment..

OMG - I just found this thread and almost cried with relief! Once again I am not alone and it is you wonderful women who have saved me!

So great to come on here and hear about your babies - it is just unreal that they are all here - after everything...

I posted on the other thread that our little man Oscar Matthew arrived on his due date 14th October - bum first! He is perfect in everyway and worth every tear I have shed

But I guess motherhood is a massive learning curve and I am struggling to keep an E grade at the moment! My little man isn't a real great sleeper - I struggle to get him down - he sleeps for like 2 minutes in his cot or bassinet and then is wide awake again - sometimes he sleeps for 45 minutes - others 2hrs and once even did a 3 hour stint - pity it was in the afternoon!

Is this normal?? Do any of you find it hard to settle your bubs? Put them down? keep them asleep??

He seems to be feeding ok - but has a little tongue tie - which was fine to start with but i have noticed a few little things and am considering ringing the paediatrician to ask about it this week.

Sorry about the all me post - I have tried to read back to see how you are all doing and I will catch up with personals later..

So great to find you all here!

aww jess congrats on your lil boy, so so happy for you!! - as for settling...yeah its all normal im at 6 weeks in here and miss G still rears her devils horns from 4pm

nic - sorry to hear about the bells, hopefully the meds are starting to do their trick. Dont feel bad for putting A on formula for the time being, you cant help these things...she is happy thats the main thing. As for us coming to canberra...yeah we were going to be there at the time your going to perth...bummer. Hopefully we can get together another time.

bosco - lol yeah im a lil preoccupied these days with MIL, hopefully things will settle in another 2 weeks so i can be here more often. Hopefully the thicker formula will help out lil J... she sleeps longer for you too.

bambi - lol we are planning on getting UTD next year...well thats the plan anyways. Although everyday at around 5pm i seem to rethink that lol IKWYM about time flying by...i cant believe how big G is getting. Wish i could hit pause too.

afm - well busy busy here. MIL is still with us and will be for another 2 weeks. Sorry for being so long between i catch up with you all. Just really gets so so hard sometimes
G is been hard lately too. Around 4pm each days she starts up and is VERY hard to settle. She just fusses at feeding, wont want to be held or put down, is hungry then she isnt. ARGHH. Last night she was sceaming from 4 til 10.30pm. Tonight was ok...4pm - 7pm so were improving lol. I followed bambi's tip of going for a long walk in the pram...maybe thats what helped.
Not too much happening apart from that. G hates her swing...she cries after being in it for 5mins, and she hates her play mat lol. Back to the drawing board i think.

I cant believe xmas is so close. Has anyone finished their shopping yet?
Im picking up the kids pressies off layby tomorrow...i think i have bought wayyyyy too many things for them so i might have to cull them a bit.

Anyway i might have a cuppa and relax for a bit.
Will try and get back on again soon.
    Take care
