Default IVF clinics - Perth. Any recommendations?

    Hi ladies,

Im new to the whole IVF process, and on the search for a good IVF clinic in Perth.

Does anyone have any info/recommendations for me?

Im thinking of either hollywood or Fertility North (Joondalup).

    Are there waiting lists?

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank-you!

    Hi Mrs A,
As you know I had a very positive experience at Concept, I just wanted to put it out there for others to read.
Great nurses, very informative, I liked being asleep for egg retrieval, being given Doxycycline prior to EPU and a FANTASTIC FS - Dr Linda Wong.

Also didnt have to pay fees upfront.

    And I got my BFP.

    Good Luck Mrs A

    Hi MrsA

I have been to both Concept and Fertility North.

Benefits with concept is no up front fees. You get all your drugs from the clinic direct. I found the nurses and staff to be friendly and approachable but after 2 years with concept I needed a change so went to Fertility North.

Fertility North - you have to pay up front for your treatment. Many of the drugs (except for your first cycle you have to purchase separtely). Their equipment is newer, the staff are much more informative and supportive. The fertility specialists spend some time reviewing your file with other fertility specialists to ensure you are getting the best treatment. I have also had numerous personal calls from my fertility specialist, embryologist and you can tell all they want is for you to have your baby.

Fertility North have a higher "pregnancy rate"but I am not sure if that includes live births. Concept have a great "live birth" rate.

Concept are also moving premises some time next year.

Personally I have preferred the service at Fertility North but the up front costs can be a bit to come up with all at once.

    Hi Mrs A
I am at Pivet and have found them very good. The staff are all helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend them. (Although i haven't got my BFP yet!)

I haven't been to any of the other clinics - so I can't compare to any others!

    Good luck!

    Thanks for your responses ladies!!

I will keep those 3 in mind...

Im tossing up between fertility north or Hollywood the mo.. i guess i should make an appointment at each of them, sit down and talk with the FS at both clinics, and decide from there..
