    Hi Kokko & Treesaregreen,

This thread doesn't get much traffic as its specifically for people to post funny stories related to IVF. If you join in the threads for the month you'll be cycling (eg. Jan 2014) or for your area (Syd, Bris, Perth, etc), you'll find a lot more action in those. Good luck to you both, this is a great place to get support from other IVFers

I would never tell a soul this in my "normal" life but hey this is IVF and most of you will get it.
So I went in for my regular U/S to check follicle growth and my FS was inserting the "probe" when I felt it was a little lower than usual, as he applied more pressure I nearly flew off the table and yeld UP UP UP you need to go UP!!!! So long story short it nearly ended up in the wrong spot LOL

When DP and I went in for our first transfer after the procedure was done and I was getting dressed DP had found the stash of un lubricated condoms And was saying I wonder if people take these. I was thinking why on earth would you take condoms if your doing IVF lol. Mid way through him looking through the box the nurse knocks and walks in DP panics and stuffed a heap of these condoms down his pants! LOL ! The nurse stayed in the room
So he was stuck with about 10 non lubricated condoms in his pants. There still sitting in his bed side draw to this day. Not sure what he plans on doing with them.........

We had our first EPU yesterday and my mum sent me a text last night that said "hi how do you feel when do they replant the egg I bought you some poppers love u"
"Replant the egg" made me giggle, and not sure why she would buy me poppers!

At our embryo transfer today I'd drunk so much water that I was really busting, then the specialist has put the speculum in and is waiting for the scientist and he says "now don't you pee on me young lady, I'm wearing my good trousers!" I laughed so hard I nearly did pee on him!

@phee83 haha. I always need the loo when I get there.

    Mine arent hilarious..

I had my epu on friday and I was very nervous. The dr came and asked the usual questions.... name/dob. Exvept he said....now whats my name? And your name ? And my birthday? Haha I laughed and said I have no bloody idea.

Other is during my pap smear. The nurse always asks if you have any concerns. So I asked her with huge embarrassment if my downstairs changes shape..... so I went to explain that because of the ivf we havent had sex as much as we would usually and now its... difficult. She laughed her head off and said yup its normal you just snap back haha. So she had to get her little speculum (because the big one wouldn't fit) and she asked me if I was okay. I said ill be fine I have to have scans all the time but it would be nice if they warmed me up a little.

The nurse laughed her head off for ages and said thay unfortunately is not part of her job description.

Haha! After transfer the specialist was like "gees I could have at least bought you a drink or something!" But I was like "no! My bladder is too full, no more drinks!"

Also, we had to park in the expensive car park as the cheap one was full and when we left the fee was $30 and dh says "guess I'm taking one up the hoo haa too!".

We had our first IUI today. Hubby likes to push my buttons so while waiting to go in for the procedure he comments how his part in the IUI (spermd sample) had really exhausted him. I started ranting, much to his delight, "don't you dare say anything until you have injections, blood tests, internal examnations....". The receptionist at the fertiliy clinic over heard and said to my hubby "If you'd told me earlier, I could have held your hand".

    PMSL

Did she realise what she had just offered?!
