    Hi
I received a positive test result on second Ivf attempt and when we were have the internal ultrasound at 7 weeks the doctor found two sacs but only one heart beat my legs started to shake as I got excited then worried and upset so he said he would have another try after what seemed liked forever he found a second heart beat. I was so elated I jumped up and gave the dr a hug before I realized I had no knickers on and he was still holding the internal probe in one hand dh said it was the funniest thing ever

I won't be starting my first cycle until around Jan 19th, but I already have a feeling that DH is going to make MANY a memory for us on this journey!!

Now I'm worried about breaking wind and yelling things out while I'm under!

    Well it didn't take long...

At our appt to sign the consent forms, the lady asked us if we had any questions, to which DH replied "Surely a fruit fly has to be healthier then a normal fly?"

The lady and I just looked at eachother like and then started laughing.

DH thought the whole appt was too serious and wanted to lighten it up a bit. I asked where he came up with that from and he said 'Carl Barron" lol

I can just see it now...he is going to embarass me on multiple occassions

my DH was asking everyone, from the Drs and nurses, friends, even his own mum, How long should i be in the Masterbatorium for? like 5 minutes, theyll think im a MACHINE! rar! or take a half hour and come out dripping in sweat like ive ran a marathon?"

not to mention every consult we had with different drs and nurses at the clinic, "so is there any decent porn in there?"

one dr replied, "actually yes! the nurses opened an unmarked package the other day in front of everyone at the front desk and it was a fresh supply of XXX porn!!"

i dont know where they hid it, DH tells me when he got there he was too scared to sit on the couch, (coz others guys would have), and that all he found was one Penthouse! thank heavens for smart phones!!

We have finally been blessed with twin girls, non-identical, after 8 attempts using donor sperm.

Everyone (no exaggeration) thinks one of the girls looks like DH!

    I have my own..only 3 days old!

Went in for IUI and DH decided to supervise from the business end.
In goes the speculum and DH starts backing up as FS is cranking it open and trying to find my non compliant cervix.. DH is looking like this at this stage.
FS finds the cervix as DH backs right up against the wall, FS thinking DH was interested calls him over and points out my cervix.. DH's face is a picture of horror and he makes a quick retreat to the head end of the bed

We got in the car to go home, he was so stunned, he reminded me of a child who just saw a balloon pop and can't figure out where it went..that mixture of shock and fear. Then he says to me "It looks like a donut!"
I laughed so hard I thought the swimmers were going to come shooting out
Oh wow! Thank you so much for the chuckle ... I really needed it tonight. This is a great thread and as I am looking at starting IVF soon it helps to make the process seem a little less terrifying

On my 15th tf I was lying on the bed waiting for the embie to be put in. The fs placed the spectular (duck thing they use for pap smears ect) but he didn't put it in far enough and pinnnnggggg across the room it flew. I felt like a ping pong lady in Thailand! Lol I was so embarrassed. I got my bfp from that cycle

My very first EPU and DP drops me off at the day hospital nice and early. He goes to work and then calls around lunch time to see how I am and find out what time he can pick me up. As I was waiting for him in the recovery area, one of the scientists approaches me and asks if I've talked to my partner about his sample. Immediately thinking something was wrong with his sample, I ask what's wrong. He tells me that they don't have it. Confused, I call DP to ask who he handed the sample to in case it's been misplaced. Turns out in the rush to get ME to the hospital and himself back to work, he completely forgot that he actually had a role to play in the whole thing! He had to come in shamefaced, duck downstairs to the "special room" and as quickly as he could produce a sample to fertilise my eggs!

Yes honey, you do still have a role to play!
