Default What are your weird nappy habits? OCD/nappy addicts confess!

Ok, so I know we all have our little 'thing' that we like to do with our nappies. We don't know why we do them, and it probably boarders on being obsessive... so confess... what do you do?

My weird nappy habit is... for some reason I hate it when I have too many of the same colour or type of nappy left in my nappy basket. For example, today I randomly picked a blue BG nappy for Isaac. But when I realised that by picking the blue one (which was the last blue one), I was leaving too many white, yellow and green ones left in the basket. So I put the blue one back and chose another colour. Don't know why not having any blue left bothered me, it just did. Other times if I have too many Haute's of GKs left because I've used all of my BG first, this bothers me too. Again, don't know why...

What are your weird nappy habits? (Thought it would be funny to share our stories!)

I dont think my habit is weird, just organised

I like to stack the same type of nappies together, eg

    GK
    GF
    SS
    CK

All in their own pile, and I wont double up the colours, I like them all multicoloured. Like a pretty rainbow.

I use flat towelling nappies.. which are mainly white, but we have some which are coloured, I like to match up the colour of the snappi with the nappy, and also when i'm folding them to put them in the nappy stackers, i like to make sure they are all folded the same way with the ends all facing the same way. And then when i was them, i like to use two pegs and make sure that the pegs don't clash with the colour of the nappy, My husband likes to hang them up like a rag with 1 peg, it bugs me!!... oh i feel such a burden has been lifted lol

I'm the same as you Vicki, I like an even mix of nappies. DP will just randomly grab a nappy out of the drawer which drives me insane because I line then nappies up in order of use, so there is never an odd mix of colours or brands!

I also love snapping and stuffing all my nappies ready for use! I will happily sit for an hour on my bed and put nappies together and then proudly look at the lovely stack I have ready!

    great idea for a thread!

When I hang mine out, the boosters & inserts have to be hung first & all together & then the shells. Also the side that touches his butt has to face out towards the sun & they need to be stretched out straight (not crumpled like they sometimes come out of the wash IYKWIM).

Also all rectangluar boosters & shells must be hung with 2 pegs of matching colours.

When they get bought in, they get sorted into a pile of shells & inserts before being reassembled, & there's no way I could mix up my inserts

They then get stacked on the change table in rows of at home nappies & going out nappies.

Reading this back, it's a little scary how OCD I can be

Oh there are washing obsessed people out there like me =)
I can't stand when things are hung on the line without matching pegs.
My pegs have to match, my nappies have to hang with the insides facing towards the outside of the line and yes they have to hang with two pegs clipped to the back of the nappy... Any other way I get so frustrated.... argh!

Any one of us would try to sneak a peek if we got a chance I bet! There's nothing like oggling someone elses stash all stacked or lined up prettily!

I'm like everyone else when it comes to hanging them out. I like matching pegs and the nappies have to be hung just so! I also have to shake out any bamboo inserts and pull them into shape before hanging them!
