    Hi there Kaz,

Thank you for your question. Yes there are herbs you can take, however, PCOS is a complex syndrome and not every herb works for every case/woman with PCOS. You really do need to see an experienced practitioner to help ascertain what specific herbs will be best for you to try.

In addition, there are lots of things you can do to help along your chances of conceiving and creating the healthy baby of your dreams in conjunction with acupuncture and herbs. These strategies are sometimes even more important than both combined because when neglected they ‘fuel’ the condition.

So definitely add these if you haven’t already:

Ensure you are closest to your ideal body weight as possible—this will help promote hormonal balance
Avoid sugars and high starchy and refined carbohydrates—insulin resistance decreases some women’s ability to ovulate (particularly those with PCOS).
Exercise daily—a combination of cardio and weights training is ideal to assist with blood sugar and hormonal regulation.
Change your eating habits—pick up a copy of my book “Eat Your Way To Parenthood”—the eating style is ideal for any couple trying to conceive and it is particularly useful for women with PCOS.

In addition you may like to subscribe to the Natural Fertility Booster—an online publication I publish weekly with lots of great tips on optimising your couple fertility. See my website for more information.

I hope this is useful to you.

    With fertile blessings,
