Default don't know what to do

    Hi Gabriela,

I was just wanting some advice, I'm not sure where to turn to next, we have been trying for our second child for 4 years without success. Our first son was concieved in three months of trying and it was a perfect pregnancy and birth. This time it doesn't seem so easy. I did have a miscarrage at 6 weeks about 2 years ago. I have been to a gyn, had tests run, she said everything is fine, my husbands sperm revealed an increase in abnormal sperm but she advised us to cut down on coffee and softdrink, which we do not drink much of anyway, she seemed to think that because we have had one there is no reason why we can't have an other. We have also seen a natropath on 2 occasions, we are currently still seeing her now. But things are just not happening for us. I just don't know where to turn next.

Do you have any suggestions of other avenues to go with, we do not want to go through IVF.

    Hi Mamma1,

Thank you for your message and I am happy to assist you.

I feel for you as I see many couples in a similar situation to you… because I don´t have any substantial information on your medical history I need to give you some general guidance. If you´d like to discuss you sitatuation in more detail I´d be happy to offer you a complimentary fertility consultation to help guide you better.

Before IVF there are any options. The number one thing you need to know about how you are currently being treated is how detailed your protocol actually is. The other thing you must know is when you are ovulating and what kind of difference the treatment has made (if you have already been treated for more than 120 days) or is making to your husband´s sperm.

Based on this information you may like to consider clomid or intra-uterine insemination, which are medical interventions, which can be used before IVF.

Depending on your medical history age and combine history there may be other things that could be useful prior to IVF, which I´d recommend delaying as much as realistic in your case—the ones I´ve already metioned may be useful for you.

    I hope this helps!
