    Default Producing Milk

    Hi,

Tonight in the shower i was checking myself for any lumps which i do quite often. Anyways as i was getting closer to the nipple a little bit of milk came out, the same thing happened to the other one as well. There is not anyway that i can be pregnant as my DH had a vasectomy last October.

Is there anything else that could be causing this? A few reference's on the interent suggest that it could be a tumor, is this true?

    hi there Bree3,

    Thank you for your question.

A reason for 'leaking breasts' can be an increase in prolactin a hormone that can be elevated during prolonged periods of stress.

Benign pituitary tumours can also be linked to this, however these are rare. It's always a good reason to have a blood test though to make sure all is in order.

My reply to Suze3108 Producing milk just thinking about a baby?? may also be useful to you so you may like to check that out as well.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

    Best wishes,

    Warm regards,
