    Post Q re HCG and Progesterone Levels



    I guess I'm just looking for reassurance that my little could be around for the long haul. I know we are all different but I suppose I am hoping that someone else has been similar to me and can give me some hope.

    Levels so far have been:-

    16DPO - HCG 66 Prog 90
    19DPO - HCG 264 Prog 88
    22DPO - HCG 632 Prog 70

    My clinic likes to see HCG triple over three days which it hasn't quite done this time. I'm a little concerned with progesterone going down but they say as long as it stays over 30, it will support a pregnancy.

    I am not sure what my progesterone levels were but my HCG was as follows:

    17 DPO - 328
    20 DPO - 1528
    26 DPO - 5640
    30 DPO- 16500

    Hi there pisces11,

    Firstly congrats on your BFP and levels, i think they are doing nicely. Are you on progesterone support? I was on the crinone gel and usually after your pregnancy test, some clinics will stop it. I however insisted with my doctor that I get a prescription for progesterone support.I got progesterone pessaries and used them twice a day and then when I reached 12 weeks, I went down to one a day and soon i will wean myself off them in 2 weeks. Perhaps this is something you can speak to your clinic about.

    Empty - I'm not on any support. This was a natural FET and the only drugs I have had was 2 Pregnyl Injections during the 2WW. I did ask my FC about progesterone support after my 2nd BT but they said that as long as my prog was over 30 then I really didn't need the support. I have another BT next friday so hopefully all my levels have risen well. If prog is lower again next week I think I might push harder for support.

    Hi pisces11,

    I would definately push for the prog support. It wont hurt anyway. Although it will hurt your wallet! I found it really hard to get my nurse to hear me out. So I spoke to my doctor about it direct and he just handed me a prescription. He did say not to stop it suddenly but to just wean myself off it.

    Let me know if you need any more help with this - i am a prog information addict!

    Hi pisces,
    Firstly congratulations on your BFP.
    My levls were as follows
    17DPO- HCG 228, Prog 368
    22 DPO- HCG 2115, Prog 520
    25 DPO- HCG 4200, Prog 650
    I wasnt on any prog support except for the 2 needles i the 2ww. Your levles are doing nicely, and remember not everyones are the same
