Oh Fish, I don't envy you in this. It must be hard. I've not really thought much about it before but I'm grateful that the big kids weren't in this type of position. The age cut off changed between them, so Corey went from being among the oldest to the among the youngest. But he's always been big so it hasnt' been an issue. I can tell you though I would be worrying as much as you are if Koby was a couple of days older. I had him weighed and measured last week, and he's gone from the 50th percentile to the 25th, which is absolutely no cause for concern, but he's definitely smaller than the others. I'm quite glad he'll be home for an extra year.

Thanks for the suggestin re the sage.I made an appointment with the naturopath for next week so I'll ask her about it. I spoke to her yesterday, and then thought that it's silly waiting a month or so, because what ever symptoms I've having will come and go, just the nature of hormones . She says she can definitely help and she's a counsellor as well, so will be good to just chat to her about it all, too.

Shelle, Deb, Jules. Hope you're all well. Happy Friday!

Thanks for syaing that Sam. Koby looks very healthy, are you and DH smaller than average? I was so excited when Nick started on the 25% for his height. it was a bit sad when he only lasted there for a few months and has been on the 3% ever since. still, it could be worse I know. It's not like he's sick or anythingWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

DD was "helping" me with that last message. It's is so sticky here today. i really really hope this is the last of summer. Just a mummy moment here. do you know the song wiggle and a waggle, shake it, shake it shake it shake it shake it... flipping and a flopping, a flipping and a flopping... shake it, shake it shake it shake it shake it... Is it just me, or is a bit bit too close to the truth for us mummies, with all that shaking and wobbling and flopping...

Hahahahahahaha!!! No, I don't know that song, but it sounds appropriate for mummies!

Fish, i'm 167cm, DH is 173 ish. I guess my height is average, but DH is on the short side, and was especially so as a kid. He had a very slight build too and looked very young for his age until he was late 20's. So Koby isn't going to be tall.

I'm a bit cross with myself. I just ate a heap of chocolate. No willpower!

    hey everyone!
i haven't caught up on all the posts but just wanted to let you all know i'm still alive out here.

we had a great time in nz but was slightly too long for isaac, with one week to go he was asking to go home a bit. 3 weeks must seem like a long time in their little lives. DH notices a huge change in his speech and he says a running commentary on everything he can see.

i'm about 23 weeks, its going a bit fast this time! i need time to stop for a while. i'm much more tired than with isaac though but just trying to enjoy the pregnancy because i know its the easy part!

    hope you are all well.

    Hi Deb - welcome home!
Yes, i guess three weeks would seem like a very long time to them. Koby seemed to be unsettled the last few days we were away over Christmas. When we pulled into the driveway at home he clapped his hands, so I think he really wanted to come home.

Playdough in the wee hours? Is Isaac still waking really early? Are you still BFing at all? I guess you'd be more tired this time, with a toddler to chase. And how is your thyroid holding up?

We're moving office this week, but the new one isn't ready yet and still needs painting, so we've got stuff everywhere and life is chaotic. Oh, who am I kidding, we're always chaotic! Just the intensity varies. Will be good to get back into a routine with work and daycare though. Daycare has been closed for a few weeks while the carer went on holiday.

Shelle - how is your donor going? Been thinking of you both lately, hoping it's all going well for both of you.

Jules - what is your due date? You must be down to the weeks count, not months?

Fish - hope you get some sunshine today or at least a break in the rain so you can get outside a while.

    hey sam,
isaac has been waking around 4.30 which is expected anyway. nz is 3 hours ahead with daylight savings. i thought we were lucky getting to 4.30 actually! but today it was 3am, eyes wide open so we'll see what happens tomorrow. every day is a new day!

i stopped bfing isaac at 27 months in december because i had to go on medication for my thyroid which went way out when i got pregnant. apparently the meds were ok while pregnant but not while bfing which seems a bit odd but isaac was at the right stage to wean so it was easy. would have been a nightmare 6 months before that so i was very grateful with the timing of everything. my thyroid is ok at the moment but i'm still on the meds (2 pills a day rather than 8). going to the specialist next week so not sure if he'll keep me on a low dose or stop.

    talk later

Welcome home Deb! good to have you back. it got a bit uiet without you. How were all the plane trips with Isaac? Let's hope as the days get shorter Isaac sleeps in more this year. Live in hope. What time does he go down at night?

Sam, we have had bit of dry here and there, not too bad I think.

Friday night is not a good night for brain cells.

Playschool song re-adapted to fit post baby body:
    Do your boobs hang long,
Do they wobble too and fro,
Can you tie them in a knot
Can you tie them in a bow
Can you throw them over your shoulder
    Like a regimental soldier,
    do your boobs. hang. low?

    hey fish,
love the song!! ah to be 16 again.
the plane trips were good with the 3 kids, they were actually really well behaved. we had to bribe them (Isaac) alot with lollies etc. but we had plenty stashed away. we also had sheets of raised stickers which were really good because they were easy to pick off the seats, tray tables, armrests etc.

isaac generally gets 10 hours at night but the morning he woke at 3am he had only had 7 or 8 so was a late put down and an early rise! sometimes it happens like that. he seems to be about 7-5ish now. amazing how kids snap back into the right time zone.

Fish - I spluttered coffee everywhere when I ready this - BRILLIANT!!! Going to forward that to all the mums I know.

Hope your speciailist appointment goes well Deb. Is the thyroid causing you any complications at the moment?

I had a really dopey moment last night. Was in the shower and noticed my knees looked funny, so had a closer look and thought they looked really bruised, really badly bruised. I'd been doing the edges for painting in the new office in the morning so thought I must have bruised them then, but for it to be so bad it would mean the Von Willebrands is an issue, esp given I've had some bad bruises lately for no reason. So...start to panick, never had bruising that bad. Started to get out of the shower to tell DH I think I should go straight to the hosptial to get tested, probably need the awful clotting drug. As I'm drying my knees the 'bruising' starts to lighten.... I wore a new pair of black pants yesterday to a b'day party. They hadn't been washed...it was dye.
