I just had my re-appraisal at the gym– I’ve only lost 2.7 kg since I started but the centimeters I’ve lost! 6cm from my back, the same around my hips, 4 cm from my waist, and around the same from each leg! I was very surprised. She also did my body fat percentage which wasn’t done last time, I was a bit horrified at 31%, but apparently it should be between 21-33 so I’m in the healthy range.

She's also given me a harder programme, so i should really start to burn more fat now.

We have a split system a/c in our bedroom (which is probably too powerful for in there) and an old fashioned wall a/c in the livign area. It's not perfect but it does work ok when it's really hot. I'd like to put evaporative in as I don't cope well with the heat but there's always something else to spend the $ on. I don't know what's best for environment - I had assumed evaporative was?

Julie - Koby is always over tired and difficult to settle too after day care, he doesn't sleep there often.

Fish - poor Nick! I don't know of any tricks either. Koby has only had one bout of gastro, when he was around 8-9 months. We had to wash the couch as we were sitting on that when it started. I hope he's feeling better today.

It's pouring here again today - an absolute down pour! Driving home from the gym was a bit scary. Good for the lawns though!

Well done Sam!! good work. Are you feeling good?

Nick's still sick, but it's moving through, so I'm guessing that's good. Poor thing just needs a permenant cuddle. Which is a bt hard with DD and this weather.

We bought an evaporative cooler a few years back for Nick, but it's so humid here when it guets hot, that it doesn't cool things down. You really need a de-humidifier, cos it's only low thrities, the heat comes from the muggyness.

    How's it going Deb, Julie?
    playschool's over. better go.

Yep, feeling pretty good at the moment. A few minor side effects from the hormone issues, but nothing too troubling.

How is Nick feeling? Refrigerated a/c is probably all that would work for you in QLD, we had it in the house we rented before here. It does work very well.

    hi everyone

sam, well done! you must feel great. i was slowly getting back into my treadmilling but i get so puffed!!

fish, we just got air con in October in the lounge & our bedroom. all the other rooms have fans. i barely made it through last summer and we have a pool so don't know how you do it!

hey jules, hows it going? hope blake is being a good boy for you. are you still feeling ok?

well, at 27 months isaac is officially weaned! he was only having about 1 feed a week but now he's not allowed as i'm on medication for my thyroid. the specialist said it could be overactive again if i got pregnant and in the last few weeks i've lost 6 kgs so definitely in trouble again. apparently the drugs i'm on are ok for pregnancy but not for bfing. i'm not complaining about the weightloss though! could do with another 10...

so i'm pretty sick of blood tests now but will have to have them every 3 weeks to check the meds are doing their thing.

Hi Deb - I could do with that kind of weight loss too but in reality, you're probably feeling awful because of your thyroid. I hope the meds work well for you.

I'm loving that I can fit into clothes I"ve not worn in years and stuff that I bought last year purposely too small. I've still got a fair way to go - maybe 9kg, but really it doesn't matter what the scales say.

An ex-boyfriend added me as a friend on FB recently, which I ignored as he wasn't a happy memory. He then tried again and sent me an emial which I again ignored. One of my closest friends also ignored him, then the other one has just added him. I'm a bit ticked that my friend has added him, knowing that he wasn't very pleasant. I've asked her to not talk to him about me at all, and to delete all photos of me in her FB but i havne't heard back from her yet. Do you think I'm being paranoid?

Sam I think it depends on how horrible he was. You should be able to make your profile pretty secure, but yes it's hard to stop friends talking. Although maybe she just accepts people without actually getting in contact with them. I did that with my highschool ex. accepted out of curiousity, only the find he is the biggest redneck I've ever met So not my type of friend now.

Deb you poor thing, thyroid, plus pg, plus 2y/o plus cold! you must be exhausted. Yey for the weening though do you feel like a new woman, or just a slightly less old one

I feel all over the shop at the moment. I must have PMS or something. I've been tearing up the last few days, and not coping the best. Thankfully Nick's pretty much better now. DD's still as snotty as they come, and I think the second tooth must be close now. If only I could convince myself to make time out for me....

Hey Fish - the ex stalked me for almost 12 months after we split, scared me badly... My dad denies it but I think he threated to make this guy go away if he didn't chose to do so himself, if you know what I mean? So, definitely not someone I want knowing anything about me. My profile is secure, but it's this friend who worries me.

Any chance you could be pg too Fish? Its almost the weekend, could you ask DH to take over for half a day and just chill out by yourself for a while? The benefits in sitting for half a day and simply reading a book are endless! With a block of chocolate, of course!

Sam, sorry to hear about your ex. Its a tricky one. My sister has had our dad try to contact her through friends (he left when i was 1) and its awful not having that control. luckily my sisters friend knew the situation so didn't give her address.

Fish, it will be nice to have my boobs back for 7 months. i can't wait for this cold to be over so i can just have morning sickness! its all a bit much at once.

We are counting down until we go to nz for christmas. only 3 weeks now. we've bought a portable dvd player for the plane so hopefully that keeps isaac occupied.

Isaac wants everything to have a name these days. he saw a picture of a kangaroo and said "bunny", DH said "thats a kangaroo" and isaac said "ah, bunny called kangaroo".

Hey Deb - love Isaac's comment about the Kangaroo. Koby calls them 'boings', I guess coz that's the sound they make when they jump? He also calls elephants, 'ats'. All I can figure out is it's the end of the word elephant?

I didn't realise your dad had left your family, Deb. That must have been / still is tough? Facebook has certainly made it hard to remain anonymous, hasn't it? There is a way to hide your profile completely though, so that people can't find you in a general search.

I'm catching up with another old school friend tomorrow, there'll be three of us from school around yr 9 / 10, and all three of us have 2yo boys. Should be a fun morning!

We bought an airconditioner!! Yey. Just a little portable one to do the kids room when they have their sleep, and maybe the living room in extreme conditions. So I am now in their room while they sleep

Sam how was your catch up? I better not be pg, i'm stil bf'ing and on the pill. (and are also still using the baby+ toddler in the house total exhaustion method, way too much) surely that should be enough! I'm trying to cut down on the milo to improve the exhaustion levels... so hard!!! I had a dream last night you cam eover to visit. I'm sure your friend will do the right thing by you on Facebook, but might be worthwhile hiding your profile anyway.

Deb, so exciting for christmas. and what a good idea to get out of the heat for a few weeks. we got a portable movie player for our trip, but never used it, the inflight entertainment system was so good on air NZ. you could even have taken your own stuff on a usb stick and played it on their system. i'm sure isaac will be his usual little angelic self.

need to add a little boast about DD. She's such an easy eater. I had no idea it could be this good. She won't eat purees, but just eats whatever grown up food you offer her. she had rice and curry for dinner on sat, and this is only after a month on solids!
