fish, those bikes both look great, i'm with sam on the colourful one though.

sam, most people are so careful with the sun these days i imagine there are lots out there with vit D deficiency. hope all these specialist appointments arent costing you too much! i just spent another $100 at the thyroid specialist for a 5 min appointment telling me everything is ok and to come back in 3 months.

isaac woke at 6am today!! it was even light outside. i think his days of 4am wake ups are over, they only lasted about a month. so last night he had 11 hours.

my sister still hasn't had the baby and today was my day for the mothers group sweep!! there goes my box of chocolates.

Hi Deb, I thought that given the wintery weather and the fact that we don't spend much time outside and if we do, it's with sunscreen etc would have an impact on Vit D. The GP's visits are pretty exy too - the specialist appointment bill will be scary! Good to hear your thyroid is ok for now, but $100 to tell you that?! I'm in the wrong industry...

    Yay for Isaac's 'sleep ins'!

DH likes the colourful one too. I like the other one more, but at $100 more, I'm finding it hard to convince myself

When is your sister due again Deb? I guess it's nice to hear you're going well, but I agree the price tag is somewhat drastically steep! And Go Isaac! Keep that up for a while (and teach my kids how to do it too ) WE've got a clock in Nick's room now, and he's not allowed to get up until the big hand points straight up (6am). He's now clock obsessed.

Sam I think I read once that Tasmanians are considering abolishing the hat in schools over winter. I remember one of the mums in my midwives group suffered from Vit D def. She wore a burka, so had little skin contact with the sun. Good to have it picked up though. How are you feeling?

fish, nick is clever telling the time. don't think that would work with isaac. we were up at 5.30 today but still not bad, 10+ hours sleep.

my sister is due on thursday but i think it would be a good birthday tomorrow - 09.09.09. nothing happening yet but better get the portacot set up incase caleb arrives in the middle of the night.

Hey Fish - I'm feeling fine, sometimes some discomfort on my right hand side but nothing to worry too much about. AF showed up this month, though only for a couple of days. I'm not sure if I was disappointed or relieved! The plus is that if I'm still menstruating, then there's estrogen, therefore bones aren't so much at risk.

Are you getting some sleep? I have been meaning to ask you how Nick's teeth are going, is he still having trouble with his eye teeth? Does he have two sets of molars yet? Koby's second set are almost through on the bottom and the top mustn't be far away either, they feel very hard.

Deb - 09.09.09 would be an excellent birthday! Imagine if she was born at 9 minutes past 9am on that date! No forgetting that birthday! How exciting to have a new baby in the family. Friends of ours had a baby a couple of weeks ago, I can't wait to go and meet her. And on the weekend, another couple gave us the advance news that they're expecting another baby. Lots of babies for me to cuddle.

Deb straight up and straight down is about where he ends (can you tell we atch playschool here ) He often wakes up before that, but he's not allowed to get up until 6, which usually means DH has to sit in there with him if he's up any earlier. We live in hope... That would be a very cool birth date. Better ask her to go for a long walk this afternoon followed by a nice hot relaxing bath... Has she got a name picked? It's a girl isn't it?

Sam, no he's just cut his 3rd eye tooth. The 4th is yet to crack through. It's just taking FOREVER! Not looking forward to the 2y/o molars... I think the thing I hate worst is that it seems to bring his eczema up and I hate seeing his skin look all red and itchy I'm glad you're feeling ok, and still have some estrogen. how's the gym going? Is koby getting over his constant ****** of colds?

Anyway both kids down for a while, so better go and read my book for a few minutes

Ah, that might be why Koby's skin is so itchy at the moment. Yes, he's over his never ending ****** of colds . The gym is going well, I did a boot camp class on Saturday morning - very very hard! My legs are still sore, and in between my shoulders. I don't know how many pushups I did, it seemed better not to count them! They hold this class at the beginning of themonth - it'll be a good way to gauge my fitness, I guess. I've got a 'running' lesson booked in with a trainer this friday, she was watching me run on teh treadmill last week and approached me after to tell me my form was pretty good ( - surprising, because I thought it was awful!) , we got chatting about triathlons etc and she's offered to work with me to build speed and distance. I'm pretty chuffed with that, as I've always trained on my own and had no clue as to whether I'm doing the right thing or not. It'll be good to have some accountability, too.

How about you Fish, have you had a walk by yourself again? Ready to start running yet?

sam, that is so great about the trainer approaching you at the gym! go sam!
    and yay for estrogen.

lucky me, isaac had his last molars come through at 18 months so we are all over teething here. i think that's why he was such a terrible sleeper/eater in the first year - he already had his first 16 teeth i think.

my sister's baby is going to be called Hayley. i hope its a girl because her room is very pink!! she has been told in 3 different scans that its a girl though so i think its right.

Sam - well done on the training!! You are doing so well. Making me feel very lazy.

Fish - I like the green bike too! I've never seen those before either!! Very interesting - let me know how it goes.

Deb - how exciting having a new bub in the family!!

Not much to report here. Blake has decided in the last week to be really fussy at dinner time. Even refusing to eat things he usually loves. Won't have a bar of me feeding him with a spoon. So now I just have to put a plate of food together for him to feed himself, and if he eats it then he eats it. Although I noticed tonight he was far more interested in eating when he saw me eating (and what I was eating). So I think I have to have my dinner earlier with Blake so he feels like we're eating together. I've heard that can help.

    Morning everyone,

Thanks for the support re the gym! I had to change work days tis week so haven't had the running session yet, but looking forward to it next week. I still haven't really lost any weight but my pants are loser so thats all good.

Deb - are you an auntie again yet?

Another friend is newly pregant - there are going to be lots of babies for me to cuddle!

Jules - the fussiness thing is probalby just a phase, just keep offering him lots of different types of food, and I think eating together is helpful, too, trouble is they often need to eat so much earlier than us. Koby sometimes has two dinners!

No other news here - specialist appointment on monday so I'm trying to keep really busy and not dwell on that. I did find my first grey hair today but I guess that had to happen sooner or later, not necessarily linked to early menopause. Probably got a lot to do with troublesome teenagers, actually .

Hope you all have a great weekend and your lovely little ones are over all the lurgies.
