Sam - a million of these for you ! A lot for you to absorb right now. Just wondering if you'd thought of the idea of seeing a chinese herbalist/acupuncturist - can be very good with hormone related issues. Good luck with all the HRT reading. And I agree with Deb - take some time out for yourself.

Fish - that's a hard one. On the due date for the first pregnancy/miscarriage, I was actually pregnant with my second. And then for the due date of my second pregnancy/miscarriage, I learnt that my best friend had just given birth. I remember feeling a mix of emotions and I ended up not visiting her in hospital - although I had family staying and we were out and about a lot so she understood. I think I did feel sad that no one acknowledged the date, but then I don't think I would have coped very well with people reminding me either. I think the most important thing is to be there for her, so if she wants to talk about it she can. Perhaps ask if she wants to catch up for a coffee or something that day, without actually acknowledging the day as such, and ask her how she's going. And then you are giving her the opportunity to talk about it if she needs to I guess. Everyone is different though so it's hard to know. I hope that helps anyway.

Deb - have a great week away.

I have some work!! Very casual and flexible which is exactly what I wanted. Just helping out a busy property conveyancing business when i can basically. So am going in for four or five hours Monday, and then when I've recovered from the operation I'll go back in on a Monday and Friday for five or so hours a day while they are busy.

    Congratulations Kyra! That is fantastic!
Stay positive and calm and everything will be ok!

Thanks Fish, Deb and Julie. I had a bad day Wednesday, but feeling ok now. I'm going to use this as even more motivation to get super fit and strong as that's my best defense against osteoporosis.

Julie - once any nasty causes are ruled out, I'll be going back to my naturopath and I'm cerainly open to chinese medicine - have heard lots of good things. Do you know of anyone over here?

Had some good news today - found out DH's ex-brother in law (who we are still very close to) has asked his girlfriend (who we love to bits) to marry him! So excited and happy for them!

    So Much good news!

Kyra congratulations!! Have you booked yourself in to see the doctors yet?

Sam, what tests will you have? what sort of things might cause early menupause, do you know? I'm glad you're feeling better and motivated.

Deb enjoy your holiday! I hope you get lots of sleep ins.

Nick couldn't sleep today, so only 5 min in the car on the way home I think those other eye teeth must surely be breaking through soon. Thank goodness it's friday! Anyone doing anything interesting this weekend?

Hey Fish - I'm having a pelvic US next week, and the bloods will be repeated in a month to see if there is any change.

From what I have read so far, it's linked to the number of eggs present at birth, when they run out, that's it. I haven't had chemo or radiation which are the most common causes - so I guess it's just one of those random things. The short cycle and really early ovulation that I had trouble with conceiving Koby are indicative of ovarian failure and I remember reading about it at the time, but didn't pay much attention to it, being focused on conceiving. I guess we were pretty luck to have Koby, because my cycle had been like that for a few years before we decided to have him. I'm also thinking that the period of two years or so when I was really fatigued (leading up to falling pg) and just generally feeling awful 24/7 might have been related - part of it was that I would be so hot of a night (night sweats). DH used to say he could have fried an egg on my stomach. I'd wake up with headaches and feeling dehydrated.

Ah, who really knows? Not a lot of point in thinking backwards - only forwards!

Enjoy your week away Deb, where are you going?

We're having dinner tomorrow night with friends for a birthday - just found out it's a seafood dinner - YUM! DS has a footy carnival most of Sunday, and tomorrow we're going to meet a puppy that needs a new home. We're considering adopting a dog through a rescue organisation.

Got a bathroom quote today - both showers need re-grouting and resealing as there's rising damp in the walls. OMG! Almost $2k! One bathroom is really run down anyway so I'm going to compare retiling it to resealing and so far, it's looking favourably towards retiling as BIL will do the tiling for us and FIL is a retired plumber. Hmmmmm.

Hope you all have a good weekend!

Thanks Fish! Well I think given my cycles being all over the place, it's hard to know for certain. I last had AF at the beginning of July, and the cycle before then was about seven weeks or so. So I guess I'd be about four or five weeks. The line came up immediately!! I'll guess I will have to have a dating scan to work it out.

That's fantastic. and a dating scan will be doubly nice considering your miscarriages. Seeing that little heart beat . Have you booked a doctors appointment yet? have you told your DH?
