    Default Citizenship Test

    Hi All..
I'm about to take my citizenship test and was wondering for those that have taken it what were the questions asked (more importantly the hardest ones if you remember)...
do i need to memorize the dates?
birthplaces of the nobel winners? (i did a practice one on the internet and they had these questions)
The practice one on the website is sooo easy i dont want to get too complacent about it as it was hard enough getting this appointment in the first place.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can't help Nanay but wanted to wish you the best of luck!! I've tried the internet test and failed it several times (and I was born here - you'd think I'd know)

I did mine two weeks ago and there are a couple of hard questions but if youve read the book youll be fine. You get 2 goes though once your taken in, so if you fail the first time, you get a second shot before you leave the room. I cant really remember them but you need to know the major dates, like settlement, aust day, our flag, our stone, australian colours, who won the nobel prize, etc. There are 3 uestions u need to pass, which are about the australian beliefs, so as long as you know them, you should be fine. Goodluck!

I should get mine done as well but whenever I call to make an appointment, I'm in the queue and have to wait and it takes ages and eventually the connection times out..

I struggle with all those political questions. The members of parliament, queens representative, how the political parties are set up etc

Some question however are very easy. Like the floral emblem of Australia, national day etc.

Where abouts online did you practice? I find it much easier, doing online tests as practice than reading through the book..

I read over the book before I went in and wrote it and got all the questions right - my husband didn't read the book - didn't even get the book and got 2 wrong - we both thought the hardest questions were the sports questions.
It's multiple choice so you don't really have to memorize anything much.

    Lol WCM! I especially like-
"13. Do you have an Aunty Irene who smokes 30 cigarettes a day and sounds like a bloke?"
Seriously though, this test sounds so dodgy, questions about sports & Nobel prize winners?! Not questions about your values & attitudes maybe?
I'd so fail a test on Australian general knowledge questions & I've lived here my whole life, I hope that doesn't make me a bad Australian...
But good luck with your test!
