    Default Blood incompatibility?

    Hi there.
DH and I have 2 sons, both conceived very quickly, but now have been ttc no.3 for over 2 years.
When our second son was born, it was picked up that we have a blood incompatibility. I'm an O+, my DH is A+, as are both our boys. Apparently I was producing antibodies to foreign blood groups though, which as a result caused severe jaundice. I was under the impression that it was only a problem if one partner was a negative blood group but apparently not.
My question is, is this what is causing our difficulty now? If I'm making antibodies would this explain why we can't fall now? We did have one pregnancy however it ended at 7 weeks but none since.
There is little information on it as most refer to RH disease, which can be treated. Ours apparently cannot. Is there anything that can be done or is it a losing battle? I'm living in hope that maybe a pregnancy with an O+ embryo would give us a chance. Is that even possible?
Any insight would be well recieved. Thankyou.

    Dear dmaree,

The good news is that you have both managed to conceive two healthy sons and best of all you carried two healthy pregnancies to term. I would need much more information about you and your situation in order to be able to answer this question more thoroughly. However, I don’t believe at the moment the Rhesus factor is the whole answer in your situation because again, you have already managed two sons.

There are many other factors that will get in the way of conception and that would also increase the chances of miscarriages and they are not all to do with immunological factors. Nutritional status, diet, lifestyle factors, toxic environmental exposure, age, etc are all factors that can play a role.

For more information on how to optimise your health and boost your natural fertility you can visit my website. I hope that will be of assistance to you. Dmaree, you may also benefit from a subscription to the Natural Fertility Booster, my weekly fertility publication that will help you on your journey.
