angelanathan - you know what else... the dr said to me when i went for my first bloods, they were looking for 50hcg to be UTD and you have achieved that so seriously... please don't move the goal post for when you will be happy... YOU and I both have a BFP. no conditions no extra clauses... its a bfp ok. celebrate that for what it is! i need to take on some of my own advice on that too

AND they say it doubles every 48 - 72hrs... so in theory i hope to be in the 1000's range on monday when will your next BT be?

    Hi Everyone,
How are you all and is anyone still checking in here?

Ive been posting some in the 30-35 TTC thread, they are lovely over there as well

Just in case there was anyone reading I thought Id mention that I had appt with FS to plan next steps and we are going to do 3 cycles of IUI and if they arent successful we will go to IVF. We are going to start IUI in end May when we get home from a trip that we are doing to keep ourselves sane!!

So my goal for the next couple of months is to relax and not think about trying!!! Impossible maybe??!!, get fitter, relax, enjoy our trip and then when we get back we are aiming to be 'match fit' which is what our FS encouraged, fit physically and mentally.

I was wondering if any of you had had any BFP in the last 3 or 4 weeks? Im still in two minds about whether we try IUI or go straight to IVF......what do you think is IUI a waste of time? Its just that IVF is so expensive now!

Hoping that you are all well, sending lots of hugs and strength out to all!

    Default Iui

    Hi be kind to yourself,

How are you going, I myself had a BFP last month but m/c at 6 weeks.
    I have PCOS and I am 35.
We have been trying for 1 year and I see a f/s and we are on our 2nd IUI.

Well this one might not make iui stage.
My 2 eggs are at 12mm today and i continuing to take fsh injections till monday then go back for a scan.
He seems to think i may ovulate on the weekend so iui is out i guess.

It is the cheapesst way to do fertility treatment, i can;t afford ivf so i hope i don;t have to do that.
Although i hear the success rates are higher.

I am on the thread for calling all brisbane ladies iui, ivf etc, u can join that one heaps of girls on there, talk everyday.

    Hi Bekindtoyourself,

I do think IUI is best for the first start...We had a great experience the first time we tried middle of 2006...We had been TTC for 15mths and with the first IUI we fell PG with my daughter... We couldnt believe it!

We are now on IUI #2, First was 29NOV - BFN and i am now 12DPO for second which was done 22JAN. I am more confident this time around but you never know.

IUI was much cheaper in 2006...and now its gone up again starting this year... It is still cheaper, less invasive/clinical... so yeah i reckon give it a go...then switch if no joy comes of it!!

All the best with your decision and TTC...

    Michelle

    Hi Everyone,

I am new to these boards but it's great to read so many success stories on here.

I'm 28 and DH is 29, he has had 4 types of chemo so we have to do IUI with his pre-chemo frozen sperm.

We've had our initial consultation and I am having bloods days 1-3 of next cycle and then a HyCoSy Ultrasound on day 7-12 next cycle to make sure everything is fine with me, so am just sitting around waiting atm.

Hope to get to know you as we share our journeys.
