Question Body Trim diet, Seems too good to be true

Hi, i started the body trim diet on monday this week and so far i have lost 5.2kgs. Its really easy to stick to and its all real food no shakes or anything.

Has anyone else done this? I am scared that it is too good to be true and i will not lose weight after the 1st few weeks.

Me too, I would love to know more about this diet. Even though I hate that "D" word.

    Its a 3 phase program:

Phase one: 3 day carb detox (day 2 was the hardest) This is so eliminate sugar cravings. I didnt believe it would work but i am a huge chocoholic and i havent even been tempted to eat it even though it is in the house.

    My sample menu was:

Breakfast: x2 eggs scrambled using 50ml of water instead of milk. i also added some light ham to make it taste nicer as i hate eggs.

    Snack: 80g of shaved ham

Lunch: 100g of lean pork fillet

    Snack: 80g chicken breast

    Dinner: 100g pork fillet

    Snack: 80g ham

All these measurments are approx. as i didnt use scales.

    Phase two, Weight Loss:

Breaky: 1 slice of wholegrain/wholemeal toast with 80g of shaved turkey and 1 slice of cheese melted.

    Snack: 1/3 Chicken breast

Lunch: Garden salad with chicken breast and honey mustard dressing (from the supermarket)

    Snack: 1/3 chicken fillet

    Dinner: Beef and Vege soup

    Snack: 80g Ham

    Phase 3: Weight Maintainance

This is similar to weight loss phase but you can have low GI carbs for breakfast and lunch.

The only other things they ask for is
*10 000 steps per day (30 min walk + incidental exercise) TBH i havent done this every day and i still have had great results.
    *2-3 litres of water
*Don't do strenuious exercise for the 1st 4 weeks.
*No potato, pumpkin, peas and corn.

The BEST part is one day off a week!! They actually want you to eat what you want one day a week (they recommend a sunday) so that your calories spike high then when you go back to the diet the next day they are low again, this is so your metabolism wakesup and doesnt just settle into the low calorie diet.

Let me know if you want any more info.

Wow, that sound really good - and pretty easy too. I think I'd get bored with having things like chicken and ham as snacks though.

Thanks for typing all that out..... it is very helpful. i have a couple of questions

are you allowed to sustitute some of the meat for nuts?

    was the program expensive?

do you know why they say no strenuious exercise? i already exercise daily..... it would be silly of me to stop for 4 weeks

Very interesting- how long do you stay on phase 1 before you go to phase 2- obviously phase 3 is where you want to be- goal???

I will try anything- trying to eliminate carbs atm- I am craving sugar right now- just want to eat something sweet- but trying my hardest to refrain- so far so good.
