Default How Long Did It Take You To Conceive?

I'm just wondering how long it took everyone to conceive. I am 22 years old with 2 gorgeous babies, DS 4 (who I wasn't TTC) and DD 17 mths (who was conceived in 2 weeks). I am wondering how long it would take for a generally healthy person with no fertility problems as it hasn't happened "straight away" this time.

    DS was a surprise.

DD was planned but I actually got pg the month before we planned to start TTC.

#3 - pg first month of TTC but m/c; then pg immediately following m/c but another m/c; then pg immediately following second m/c but lost that one as well.

    TTC now on hold.

Sorry to hear that. I didn't think it could be difficult once you have one or more positive pregnancy but I guess every pregnancy is different....

DS I stopped taking the pill and fell pregnant within a week or two.

This one though took us 6 months to conceive!

average length of time for couples with no ttc issues is around 6 months. majority within 12 months. thats what all the pregnancy books i have been reading say.

also in any given natural cycle its about 25% chance conceiving

Oh no. I assumed that because the first 2 were so easy, than #3 would be too!

i havent voted in the poll, as i'm not a 'generally healthy person without fertility probs' but it took me nine months to get a BFP (i barely had a chance during that time, as i had one cycle of 5 1/2 months during that). However, we got our BFP the first time that sperm and egg were in the same place at the same time
