    Hi again,

Well, my day has improved a bit. Would you believe the specialist rang me from Brisbane. I couldn't believe it. Anyway, he spoke to me for 15 mins and is convinced it is all post-surgery trauma, especially as the tooth has been opened up 5 times in 5 weeks. He said the swelling in my gums and jaw will take a few weeks to settle, but that I should be about to get over the worst of it. Sigh. Tried to sleep today but am so bl00dy restless. Only dozed. Soooooo tired - surely I will sleep tonight, no matter what happens!

Just went to Robina Town Centre (because can't face going there with Jude tomorrow) to get a few baby things. Starting to feel slightly more organised.

Britt - send me 5 postcards if that's ok. I haven't seen Australia yet. Most things I've heard about it are similar to what you said. I hope Cade will get off your boob tonight...

Hels - a kid stood on a nail, huh? Does that mean they're never going to let anyone on site again????

Sarah - great to hear from you. At least tomorrow is the 1st of May and you can have decent internet speed back. We've never reached our limit yet. Makes me wonder why we got that limit in the first place...

Lisa - thinking of you lots.

    everyone else.

Well, I've still had pains etc today but not as intensely as yesterday (thank goodness - after the tooth incident at least it was one less thing to deal with). I feel like i'm moving like a snail on valium, but what can you do??!! Don't know about the other states but we have a long weekend this weekend. I am so grateful for it I could cry. Only one day until it is here!!!

    Hi girls,

Thought I'd pop in and say hi while I had a minute as life is going to get busy for the next few days. My Dad is arriving tonight to stay the week and it is Lachlan's b'day tomorrow so we are having a little party in the park for morning tea. Things are getting pretty busy with only a week left til my sister's wedding we are heading up on thursday, am not looking forward to the drive .

Lisa - thinking of you. Thanks for the cards.

Tina - How great of the specialist to call you from bris. Am gald back/contracion pain has eased up a little, just think of the progress you could be making . Here's some labour dust for you so you can start stock piling it for when you need it .

to everyone else, must go Cooper wants milk!!

    LisaThinking of you hun.

    Tina--You're next!! WOoO!! Can't wait!

Well had a good night last night, though that it was a good thing that Ezra slept 8hrs last night, but after our appointment with the lactation consultant today we found out it isn't.

Ezra has lost over 500g since birth and he is "too sleepy" according to her. She thinks he is not getting enough calories to keep his energy up. So we fed with her and she thinks that with time and practice he will do well w/o the nipple shield. She was amazing. Very positive and encouraging. I am going to try to feed tonight and then see her tomorrow again. He is mildly jaundice and his poos isn't yellow enough. Over all I still feel really accomplished to keep persevering this far.

My incision is great, still closed and hardly visible. However the muscles around that area hurt like crazy! Just taking panadol now but occasionally pop an endone.

Ezra is just so luscious. I mean I am enamored with this kid! Ethan is still adjusting. Each time Ezra cries, Ethan cries. It's cute and heartbreaking at the same time!

Well off to wait for our dinner. We have 3 weeks worth of meals being brought to us, so it's such a HUGE blessing!

    I'll pop in later!

    Hi girls

Lisa- how are you doing? I haven't been able to stop thinking about you. I hope you are feeling ok and are able to get some rest

Crystal- well done for persevering with the BFing, you should be so proud of yourself Your experience sounds so similar to mine with Layla and I know how tough it is, so well done to you for hanging in there! His photos are just so beautiful, I can't believe how much he looks like Ethan in one of them.

Teal- I'm sure it was only yesterday you were celebrating Lachlans FIRST birthday?! Time flies. How's the pups going?

Tina- use the long weekend as a chance to rest up ready for bubs arrival- I'm thinking it will be sooner rather than later

Britt- how did you go with putting Carter to bed earlier, did it make a difference? Hope you manage to catch up on sleep this weekend.

Hels- how annoying that you can't go onsite anymore We have been given keys to our house already so we go there all the time- hopefully we'll go tomorrow and the kitchen and bathrooms will be complete.

I hope I didn't miss anything important- a bit brain fried tonight.

DH is doing 3 night shifts in a row (tonight is the 2nd) and therefore is sleeping all day and leaving for work at 4:30pm. So I've had no help whatsover and Mason is being so full on. I don't think he's 100% over whatever it is he had, poor thing. He insisted on sleeping in the cot this afternoon for his nap- he looked ridiculously big in it but he sleep solidly for a couple of hours. He wanted to go in it tonight but I said no because I don't want it to become an issue as Layla will be going in it in a few months time. He's been wearing undies all day (other than naptime) and no accidents When DH got up for lunch, I left Layla with him and took Mason down to target to choose some wiggles undies

    Evening Ladies,

Thanks for thinking of me. I am doing a lot better today. I actually feel like I 'want' to do things and can face the world. The past 48 hours have been full of a lot of teary moments. I have had absolutely no appetite to eat and just wanted to hibernate. I have to say this experience has taken my love for my DD to another level its amazing. I just so hope that whatever it was that went on was some type of step in the right direction and that the sticky bfp is just around the corner.

Have a market tomorrow with Kaz, and DH has made me a fabulous stand to display my cards so looking forward to that.

Haylie - Wow you must find it hard to keep away from DH during the day whilst he is sleeping? I know that Sarah rushes up to her dad on the weekends whenever he is in bed and he gets no hope of a sleep in, let alone the kids knowing he is home all day but asleep.

Crystal - YOur little man is scrumptuous. I am a big believer in not waking little ones up for feeds etc, so I wouldnt be too concerned as long as he is feeding well before he goes down to nap and when he gets up. Glad you are feeling better and healing nicely.

Teal - Enjoy your dad coming to stay and the wedding. Sounds like a very busy time!

Tina - So jealous of your long weekend, enjoy it. I hope you get lots of rest in.

    Morning, ladies

Yes, it is morning but this is me. DH and Jude have just gone to swimming so I thought I'd pop in here then go back to bed for an hour. Cr*ppy sleep last night.

Teal - more visitors!!! Hope you enjoy the time with your Dad. Happy birthday to Lachlan! I hope you all have a wonderful day celebrating.

Haylie - go Mason in his undies! We have basically had complete regression here (no thanks to me - I have been soooo lazy with TT this past week). Jude still wears undies at home most of the time but we've been having quite a few accidents. He was accident-free for about 10 days (except for poos - no idea). Then he just went backwards! I don't really care - I know when bub comes I'll be happy to let him do whatever as I'm not putting any extra pressure on myself. I know when DH is home he will be great with it but I'm just going to go with the flow. The one great thing is he can wee on command - so he stays fairly dry when we are out or for day sleeps etc as he can always push a wee out beforehand lol. Hope you get through the next few days ok with your DH on night shift.

Lisa - you are amazing, lady! Was so heartened and inspired to read your post in all its positivity...I feel your sticky BFP IS just around the corner. I hope you have a great time at the markets (with lots of success!)

Crystal - good on you with the breastfeeding. You sound like you are in a good place with it. Great to hear the chn felt Ezra will get there without the nipple shields. You're doing a wonderful job!

We are going to the Titans v Rabbitohs rugby league game today. DH and I are sports nuts so we're quite excited. The Titans stadium is 2 mins from us and neither of us have been there yet!!! It was a goal to get there before bub comes. It's an afternoon game. Should be fun, mind you the seats will probably be hard as rock - might take a cushion like a true Nanna!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

    Morning girls,

Dh took Carter with him to run a few errands this morning, ahhh. Baked my lactation cookies last night and my milk is back to its plentiful self! I cant believe how amazing they are! I finished dhs birthday stuff last night, whoohoo! Im doing about 5 days worth of pressies instead of just the one, so he will get a "ramp-up" to his birthday, much like what Crystal had for hers. I hope he likes what we got him...Ill tell you girls after Friday! Booked Carter in for Tuesdays now at kindy...2 whole days to myself, whoohoo!

Tina, how is your tooth doing? Thats pretty great the specialist rang you from out of town! I agree that I think things will get going here pretty soon, so rest up woman! Have fun at the game!

Hels, hope Alex did well with his needles...we have to get our flu shot as well, it will be interesting to see how Carter goes as he hasnt had one in so long...How annoying about not being able to go on site anymore.

Oh Lisa, I too have been thinking about you for the last couple of days (and the week before that, hah!). Its wonderful to see that you are moving forward and looking on to the future. It IS around the corner hon! Have fun at the market...Im sorry I havent had a chance to get an order going with you...soon!

    Teal, enjoy your busy week!

Crystal, bit of an interesting visit, huh? It sounds like you are doing really well and are in a great frame of mind (I think I was a blubbering mess at this stage of post partum hah). I originally asked if he was jaundiced at all, because both Carter and Cade were very sleepy babies while they were jaundiced, and had to wake for feeds. I agree not to wake a sleeping baby for feeds, unless they are jaundiced, because they will just keep sleeping, which will make things worse as they need to flush out the bilirubin (via the poo) and to flush it out, they need to eat. So I dont want to go against anything the chn said, but I would be feeding every 3 hours, even nightly until he improves. You'll get there. So proud of you for sticking with it, you are doing brilliantly!

Haylie, havent tried to the earlier bedtime yet. DH doesnt get home until 7 or 7.30 some nights and he is the one to shower Carter and put him to bed (for my sanity and for bonding time), so its hard to put him down any earlier. I dont know what we are going to do. He is still getting up at 4.30-5, but at least he goes back down for another hour or so. I can see why you would hate night shift, I go insane when I have them both on my own from wake-up to bedtime! Not much longer...

Well, dh got our "2 week supply" of food and water last night. He is not one to panic over things like this swine flu, but is aware that IF things get bad, supplies might dwindle as people stock up, so he wanted to stock up early. And its pretty much all things we will/can use anyway, so Im not too fussed about it. I doubt it will turn into a huge thing (esp as the vax should be out in a few weeks), but I guess it doesnt hurt to be prepared just in case. Cade is just a little love right now...he is SO animated and active. He loves Carter...just watches him, smiles, talks, shrieks at him, its adorable. He is reaching and grabbing things really quickly now, and will stand for long periods of time. Now if I could just get him to stop vomitting all day. I seriously feel like its a part-time job cleaning up after his chucking tendencies, ugh. The laundry in my house is ridiculous right now!

Anyway, have a lovely weekend girls...nothing really planned here, just getting things done.

Britt & Tina - Thanks for your lovely words and support. I honestly dont think I have been that strong behind the scenes about it, lots of sobbing in bed. At night is the worst, when the house is quiet, and DH is snoring next to me I just feel alone and think back to a week ago when I went to bed the most happiest person in the world I am just taking positivity in the fact that I will feel like that again, hopefully just not too far away.

Tina - Have fun at the game today! Maybe that will spur bub to come along soon lol.

Britt - Aww how cute about Cade interacting with Carter, thats adorable. No stress about your card order, maybe if theres anything you want I can just bring it to the dinner for you to save it getting lost in the post!

Markets were great today. Weather was superb. Very cold to start off with. Sales were up on last month too so that was good. Enjoying a nice bottle of red atm, and not much planned for the rest of the weekend.

    Evening girls,

Hope everyone is having a fab weekend!

DH and I throroughly enjoyed the footy yesterday. It was an exciting game - awesome 2nd half - and the Titans won so a great outcome.

Today hasn't been so great. I woke up with my shoulder seized and a massive headache. There is nothing I can take other than panadol which does nothing so it's been heatpacks and icepacks and a miserable day. When I get a headache like this I can't believe I lived with these kinds of headaches on a weekly basis before I discovered my food allergies! Something to be grateful for. Anyway, I am booked for a massage tomorrow (one day too late, obviously) so that should bring some relief.

We had a 3rd b'day party for a little girl from Jude's swimming lessons today at McDonalds. The smell of the place (with my headache) nearly did me in, but it was a good party...I was pleasantly surprised! Haven't been to a Maccas party since I was a kid lol.

Tomorrow my sister, niece and nephew are coming to visit. I wish it was for a better reason - my niece is wigging out (she's 13) and wants to go and live with her no-hoper Dad. Therefore my sister is wigging out (she is a very full-on, difficult lady herself) and of course we have all been sucked into it. My family are so exhausting. My niece has a lot of respect for DH and I (especially DH who is wonderful with teenagers - it's his job afterall) so we're hoping to talk to her about her reasons for wanting to move in with her Dad. She refuses to give a reason to anyone. Sigh. I really don't think we can do much - she will end up back out there with him, will not be expected to go to school and it will all spiral downwards from there...

Lisa - don't take this the wrong way but I'm glad to hear you've been sobbing while your DH is snoring. I am a bit of a crier myself and I just think it's so important to feel those kinds of emotions to their full extent. I truly believe it helps us to move forward, and that was why I was so glad to read that you are keen to do that. You are doing amazingly - and if there is more sobbing - then bring it on, because that's how we really heal. BTW, great news about the markets. Sounds like you had a wonderful day.

Britt - Cade sounds just divine. I love it when they get to that age, so adorable. Those lactation cookies sound amazing...I'll definitely have to get the recipe off you. Hopefully I can modify it to my ridiculous dietary requirements lol.

, just looked at my ticker. Yikes, yikes, yikes. Had a half hour period of short, sharp pains today. It's kind of nice the 2nd time around because with Jude I was freaking a bit everytime something like that happened (which was quite a lot in the final weeks). This time I'm pretty relaxed. Well, I know what a REAL contraction feels like, anyway lol.

Far out, I've raved on forever. Must get to bed. Love to all. X
