MMM men are such odd creatures and have really funny ways of expressing themselves. DS sounds like such a treasure, you are clearly a wonderful mummy to have raised such a lovely son.

MrsShe I hope your NT scan is going well

Nic I flew to brissie and then drove down to the Hunter for a wedding visiting various relies along the way. All the family knows now, it was so nice to share the news in person.

Kitz Tassie sounds lovely, how long do you think you will wait to share the news? I'm sure your dad will be thrilled to learn there is nothing wrong with your bladder

MMM - sorry DH is annoying you. I think many men struggle with things like this and focus on taking your mind off things (which really doesn't work!)

    Blimey girl, a triathalon!!

As for NK cells, I'm not sure if it could still be a factor as you have a DS. But worth asking about. BUT hopefully you won't need to - bub is hopefully growing away and will be fine.

Bambi - glad you had a nice trip. I don't want to tell anyone until after the NT scan (provided it goes well). But might hold off telling most people until ~14-16 wks (unless my belly gets much bigger! I'm usually very small so it's starting to bulge...)

    Mrsshe - good luck!

Kitz - I know the 12 weeks is up on Wednesday. I am still too scared to go to the loo, just want this bubba to keep on sticking. Had the obs do a scan at 10 weeks and bubs was waving all well. Have my NT scan next Monday so have to wait a week......You are not far behind me...

MMM - I am so sorry that you are looking for answers, I really hope the tests reveal something that is easy to fix. Don't feel bad about your age, I will be 37 in a few weeks and DH is 47. My mum had me at 35.

Jess - don't speak too soon I felt fine until 10 weeks and 5 days and then had my first puke. I have now had 3 in that same week, now I feel ok again. I even had a clean attack and had the energy to clean my house all weekend, which is the first time I have felt the energy since before I was pg. These things happen to mess with our minds I am convinced.

Mrsshe - how was your NT scan??? can't wait to hear about it.

Bambi - where have you been? glad you popped back in.

Nic - Hope you are feeling well and that tummy keeps growing hehehe.

Sorry and Hi to everyone I have missed. xx

Nic - I think fibriods are unlikely too but FS wanted to do an HSG to rule them out. There has been no evidence on the US.

Having a down day today. DH is really annoying me. He sent me an article from the local paper which talked about my chances in the Port Moresby triathlon - I was training for it before this pregnancy and did a tri before I knew I was pregnant. There is no way I can get into any sort of form with 2 weeks training and I know everyone will be asking me why I'm not doing it. He just doesn't understand being supportive - at least I'm lucky to have all of you. Plus I am truly blessed to have DS - he brings me tissues when I'm crying and pretends to blow his nose too.

Hope everyone is having a great day and those little babies keep getting bigger and stronger.
Oh that is so cute about your DS!
    And wow, a triathlon!
Hope you find something to cheer you up a little bit honey, even just go out to a movie or a milkshake or something? I can't imagine how you must be feeling.

Bambi- glad you had a nice trip away! We will be going up to the central coast in 2 weeks for a wedding too, and will pick up a change table I bought on Ebay while we are there. It's great that you got to tell your family in person too. When is your morph scan? Will you find out the sex?

Bosco- Yay for the NT scan next week honey! Good Luck with it!

Kitz- I held off telling most people till around 15 or so weeks too. I don't know why, just couldn't bring myself to do it. And even then it was only people I saw..I didn't announce it to the wide world of facebook till I was 19 weeks after my morph scan.

MrsShe- I didn't realise your scan was today..I was thinking Wed for some reason? But judging by your FB update it went well! Can't wait to hear about it!

    How is everyone else?

Went and had a brow wax, tint and eyelasth tint and some other waxing done (to get things 'tidy' for a procedure). Was thinking about a massage or facial but was too scared I'd lie there and start thinking and then cry. Even having my eyes done the girl asks how are your kids. But my eyes look heaps better now so feel a little better about me too (the before shot wasn't pretty). Will maybe go to the movies on Wednesday.

Have booked in to see a FS through Queensland Fertility Group. He was one of the obs that worked in the team I was booked through for this baby and I met him when the hospital thought my HCG levels were too low. So DH and I will start the ART journey on Monday. He even had a chat to me about testing I've done so far etc, and was on the same page as me about timelines and plans. Even without this latest challenge, DH and I were going to look at alternate steps soon. Feeling better now that I have the next stage to focus on.

MrsShe - hope the scan went well.

Nic - thanks for doing some stalking and checking for us!

Boscosmum - not long till that scan. My aunt had 3 babies between 45 and 50 after trying for years with only one success. They thought the girl conceived at 45 was a miracle, but then it kept happening! Still, I've decided 36 is the age that I'll have my next baby/babies.

Bambi - glad you had a good holiday and it must have been great to tell family in person.

Kitz - I love Tassie. DH used to work down there and we'd have great holidays, both in Hobart and bushwalking all over the place.

Hello everyone else - I know I've missed some of you - my thoughts are a bit all over the place. Thank you all for your kind words and support. it has made this journey so much easier.

Well I have also indulged in a coke. I haven't had caffeine since October last year and have been craving coke this pregnancy and it was delicious .

Hope you don't mind me staying here until Thursday. I had a read of the support after miscarriage page and the stories were so sad that I didn't feel right posting in there when there was always just a tiny bit of hope - I'd feel really bad if I joined and then a miracle happened. Also, even though it is likely to be bad news, does someone want me to text them, so they can let you all know the outcome? I'll be down in Brissie and don't know when I'll get access to the internet.

MMM - Make sure you stay around here, we all worry about you. I am so glad you went and had your waxing done, it's great that you can do something to make you feel good about yourself, you need to look after you, you are number 1. As for the ART and the F/S that is great news as you certainly feel good for having a plan and knowing that you are not alone and at the end of the road. After my m/c which was the only pg I had in a year, I thought I would never get pg again, I am so glad that we saw a f/s and here I am now, thinking I would still be nowhere if I hadn't had the PLAN. I am happy for you.

Nic - OMG stop panicking me...now I have to worry about the morph scan, I thought the biggin' was the 12 week NT...does it get worse???? OMG the worry never ends. I can't hide my pg I have a baby bump now, there aint no going back..aaaaggghhh

    Hi Everyone,

Moo - Good to hear you had some you time today - small steps. As for DH - agree with the others - they are different and console us in weird ways - I'm sure he means well - but I get annoyed too when my DH does things like that. DS sounds like a gem - just what you need. As for NK cells - there are different NK cells they test for - I didn't need a biopsy - I think mine are called ''hostile" - natural immune response is to attack foriegn cells in the body (e.g. baby is half DH) but certian NK cells inhibit this response and let baby attach and grow... I don't have enough of those NK cells or they don't work properly so my bub's were attacked by my own body and never made it. I'm not sure about other NK cells - but I DO know that the discovery and research is only very new (like last 5 years) and they still don't know that much about it so therefore it may be possible that you never had an issue with DS or he is just a pure miracle OR NK cells are not the issue - hoping we are discussing this for now reason - I am still hoping and praying for you! And I don't want you to go either! Great to hear you have a plan too - gives you a positive focus.

Bosco - love the sound of your baby bump! Grow baby grow.

Bambi - you drove from Brissie to the Hunter?? You are better then me! I'm in the Hunter and would only drive to QLD if I could have 2 night stop overs - hate driving!!! Bet the wedding was great and so great you cold tell your family in person!

AFM - didn't I jinx myself yesterday? m/s hit with vengance last night and I hardly slept - had a BT this morning and thought I would duck in before breaky - big mistake - had to empty my bag in the car as I was dry wretching and though I was going toall over myself!! Sorry TMI - stopped to get a banana from the fruito and on my way back to my car another car backed into it!! Not too much damage - but DH can examine it further when he gets home tomorrow! Felt off all day today... but not complaining - I did ask for it! Will try and enjoy an m/s free days from now on!

Kitz - I'm down to one pessarie of a night now - very scary!!!

Hi Nic and LBP - hope you and anyone else I have missed are well!

    to us all

MrsShe - So great to hear everything went so well - so so happy for you - can't imagine the relief you must be feeling.

MrsShe - that is great news about your scan. And glad that you have another one coming up in a few weeks. Did you have to battle for it or were they happy to offer you one?

JessLee - sorry to hear you are having such a rough day with ms. I still have it although it is just nausea. I do carry a vomit bag with me though.

Bosco - great that you are starting to show - does it feel more real?

jess - MS sucks lol, i still wake up every morning feeling yuk, i cant wait for it to stop. Hope your car isnt too damaged!

MMM - actually it was quite easy to get the 16wk scan. I had an appt with a genetic specialist first up and said that i have researched quite a bit and found that by 14wks you can see bowing of the legs if it was to happen again, then i said id like to have a scan at 16wks to check for that and she said she totally agreed so happy, she was a lovely lady too.

Have a lovely day ladies. Day off for me today and i am going out for lunch with my sister and mum. Then this arvo we have some people coming to pick up the outdoor table/chairs we sold on ebay, and someone is coming to look at our car were selling. I hope it sells - we are getting our new one tomorrow.
Keep you all posted. Take care guys
