    Default When/how to stop swaddling..???

Just wonderimg when did everyone stop swaddling their babies and how did you eventually stop doing it?

My DD is 15 weeks old and she still loves to be swaddled. in fact, she will sleep but not very well if she isnt swaddled. But i don't really want her to be swaddle forever.......

    any advice/ideas/etc are appreciated...
    TIA

Babycat is 3 months and we have already stopped.

Just about everynight she would wiggle her way out of the wrap. Once I went in and she had wiggled out of her blankets, and then her wrap. The wrap was still wrapped - she just wasn't in it.

One night I had to get up 4 times in one hour cause she'd kicked her blankets and wraps off. That night she went to sleeping bags and she loves them. She can wriggle as much as she likes and doesn't get cold and woken up.

DD doesnt wiggle out of the wrap cos i do it so tight! she loves that secure feeling. mind you, i don't really swaddle her during the day - only at night. i have a grobag she can sleep in but it just looks HUGE so i havent tried it yet. maybe i should take it out tomorrow....

i think if she is sleeping well and staying swaddled that you should just continue I know of many that continued swaddling up to and even past 1 year old! I would've continued as my youngest slept so much better swaddled, but he kept escaping so we put him into one of those Peke Moe sleep sacks, luckily that transitioned him fine.
I say don't stop doing what is working well!! all the best to you.
