Hi again all, hope you are all really well.

Nikki08, I have also been concerned about whether I can do a natural cycle because I think I always ovulate over the weekend. I knew that this would be a problem but didn't want to think about it! But I am not sure exactly when they would take out the egg (sorry, can't remember all terms etc). It is reassuring to hear that you have done some at least, I was starting to think nobody ever did them (at least they are cheaper without the drugs!).

Does anyone know of a good resource on the net about all the different types of IVF? We haven't been to a clinic yet (still looking at the surgery option for DH ..) so hopefully they have a lot of stuff.

Good luck with the medicated cycle Nikki08, and to us all

They defrost the embryo the day it was frozen corresponding to your cycle. For example say you ovulate on Sunday and your embryo was frozen 2DPO. They they will defrost it on Tuesday and put it back on Wednesday (usually they leave it overnight to make sure it keeps growing). So ovulating on the weekend isn't that bad, ovulating on Wed/Thur/Fri is more of a problem!

posey my last cycle was a natural fet.
it was a pain in the bum having to have blood tests all the time to detect ovulation.
i had 4 or 5 blood tests before ovulation was detected.

    good luck.
